6th October 2025 – Clearpool has launched its first Fintech Vault on Plume Network, targeting Southeast Asia’s fast-growing housing finance sector. The vault is managed by Cicada Partners and features DeFi protocol ola as its inaugural borrower.
The initiative connects on-chain capital to real-world credit. It finances short-term, receivable-backed loans for pre-sold property developments across the region.
The project is backed by uwi, a Y Combinator alum (S22), known for addressing housing shortages in Southeast Asia. By financing developers building affordable, pre-sold housing units, uwi and ola aim to provide much-needed liquidity in a region facing one of the largest housing backlogs globally.
Receivables from these developments form the collateral base, creating a stable and transparent lending environment.
The vault has a cap of $5 million. It offers an estimated 15% yield, 10% paid monthly, with an additional 5% paid at principal maturity. It also comes with a 30-day notice period and a 37-day total withdrawal deadline.
The borrower, ola, holds a 3.7 internal credit rating, equivalent to a Ba2 rating. Cicada Partners oversees the vault and monitors performance.
Key vault details include:
The vault showcases a shift in on-chain credit toward real-world utility. By tokenizing housing finance receivables, ola unlocks access for global lenders while providing local developers with capital to meet structural housing demand.
Short loan durations, transparent repayment schedules, and real asset collateral make this a more investable DeFi credit model. With institutional oversight from Cicada and clear borrower metrics, the product combines DeFi speed with traditional risk controls.
Clearpool’s fintech vault opens a pathway for stablecoin capital to address urgent, large-scale housing challenges – while also offering yield opportunities rooted in real-world fundamentals.
