Solid review, this is well put together and right now, we all know Kaspa is still underrated for what it actually is, and the community has been absolutely exceptional, putting in the work and supporting and builders never stopped either. I’ll say the $0.35 range isn’t even that https://t.co/RGP6G62j19

🚨 Kaspa Dollar's design is now public. A proposed native stablecoin aims to use a Proof-of-Work oracle backed by Kaspa miners. If successful, it could bring a new utility layer to Kaspa's ecosystem. $KAS is evolving beyond payments. https://t.co/2zhicNMfgz

High attention and emotional sentiment detected.
The counter tracks activity since August 6, 2026, and updates in real time from an indexer. All-time fees tied to KaChat activity now total 24,626.4 KAS. The milestone was crossed in early November through steady growth, not a single event.
KaChat is a family of open-source, peer-to-peer apps built on Kaspa. It covers messaging, a social feed called KaPost, a wallet called KaPay, games under KaPlay, and a desktop client.
The apps have no central servers and no accounts. Instead, your identity is simply your Kaspa wallet address. Each app embeds an end-to-end encrypted payload inside an ordinary Kaspa transaction.
The indexer counts these payloads to reach the 816,314 figure. Developer Kaspa Silver (@KaspaSilver) and vsmirn0v lead the project, and the apps publish under Cyber Ventures, LLC. For the record, KaChat is not an official Kaspa core project.
Because messaging fees are tiny, the raw count is best read as a usage proxy. It is not a verified tally of unique human activity.
A viral number has circulated alongside the milestone. On November 6, Kaspa Silver said .kachat domains added 1,113 KAS in fees over roughly 24 hours.
That figure refers to domain activity specifically. It is not the total KaChat fee for the day. Overall KaChat fees in the prior 24 hours were far lower, near 113.8 KAS on the stats page at the time of checking.
So three separate numbers matter here. KaChat shows 816,314 total transactions, 24,626.4 KAS in all-time fees, and 1,113 KAS in domain fees for the recent day.
“The Kaspa network got an extra 1,113 $KAS in fees due to .kachat domains,” Kaspa Silver wrote in a post on X. The claim is a developer statement, so treat it as reported rather than independently audited.
Key KaChat and Kaspa metrics at a glance
.kachat domain registration went live on Kaspa mainnet on October 16, 2026. On-chain Silverscript contracts hold the names, not a company.
Here is the unusual part. KaChat takes 0% of domain revenue. Instead, the entire registration or renewal price is paid as a transaction fee, which miners collect in full.
Prices are fixed in the contract by name length. A single-character name costs 4,000 KAS to register and 1,000 KAS to renew. A name of five or more characters costs just 35 KAS to register and 8.75 KAS to renew.
Registration also uses a two-step commit-then-register flow about 600 blocks apart, so names cannot be front-run. A small 2 KAS bond gets locked and then returned when a name is released.
Kaspa vs. Bitcoin: early mining development
Different mining algorithms make raw hashrates incomparable. Faster hashrate growth alone does not establish faster adoption or stronger security.
Two upgrades made this design practical. First, the Crescendo hardfork in May 2025 raised throughput to roughly 10 blocks per second, or a 100 ms target interval.
Second, the Toccata hardfork around June 30, 2026 added L1 covenants, branded Silverscript, plus native zero-knowledge support. Those covenants are what let the domain registry run trustlessly on-chain.
Kaspa itself launched in November 2021 with a fair launch. There was no premine, no ICO, and no founder or investor allocation. As a result, all coins entered circulation through mining.
A naming and messaging layer on a pure UTXO BlockDAG is notable. It adds human-readable identities and payments without a separate chain or heavy virtual machine, while routing fees straight to miners.
The numbers come with real caveats. The 816K figure relies on KaChat’s own indexer, and no tier-1 outlet such as CoinDesk or The Block has covered the milestone.
Raw transaction counts on cheap, high-throughput chains can also include spam or bots. Therefore the split between organic use and low-cost volume stays unknown without a full indexer.
Community sentiment on X leans bullish, and it largely echoes the official “0% to the app, 100% to miners” framing. Still, some users note that domains are rented, so long-term retention is untested.
Whale trackers show roughly balanced flows with modest net outflows recently. In short, there is no clear accumulation signal tied directly to the KaChat milestone.
Popular “faster than Bitcoin” hashrate comparisons also need a caveat. The two chains use different proof-of-work algorithms and hardware timelines, so a direct race is misleading. Kaspa’s recent hashrate sits near 346 to 380 PH/s.
For now, KaChat transactions keep climbing as domain activity adds a fresh stream of miner fees. The developer frames domains as a continuous income boost for the people who secure the chain.
KAS traded near $0.029 to $0.031 in recent days, with a market cap around $800 million to $850 million. No clear price spike maps directly to the 816K figure in public data.
Readers can verify the numbers themselves on the live stats page and on Kaspa explorers before acting on them. The figures move in real time, so treat any snapshot as a moment in time. None of this is financial advice.
