November 18, 2025 – Talus Labs has issued a public statement addressing rising concerns around airdrop farming ahead of its upcoming Token Generation Event (TGE). In an X post published on November 17, 2025, the team clarified that rewards will prioritize genuine contributors rather than extractive airdrop farmers. The Talus Labs airdrop statement also emphasizes fairness, evolution, and long-term community alignment as the project enters its next phase.
Talus Labs is developing Talus Network, an infrastructure layer for decentralized AI agents designed to operate, compete, and earn autonomously across prediction markets and on-chain environments. Backed by Polychain Capital and other major investors, the project raised over $10 million in September 2025 to build agentic prediction markets on Sui, including the upcoming AvA Markets scheduled for Q1 2026.
The network has attracted significant attention during testnet phases and quest campaigns. However, like many high-profile early-stage projects, Talus has seen an influx of airdrop farmers using bots, duplicate wallets, or low-effort activity to maximize potential rewards.
In its announcement, Talus Labs acknowledged that farming activity exceeded expectations during the testing phase, stating that the team was “farmed hard” despite hoping for more genuine engagement. The message declares that the will not reward extractive behavior and will instead reflect belief, participation quality, and authentic contribution.
The Talus Labs airdrop statement highlights that the network is “for those building its future” and notes that even farmers who choose to engage meaningfully can still grow within the ecosystem. Although specific TGE dates remain undisclosed, the announcement signals that anti-sybil measures, contribution scoring, and stricter qualification thresholds are now likely in place.
Responses on X show a mix of acceptance and concern. Many users praised the emphasis on fairness and sustainability, while some airdrop farmers expressed frustration about potential exclusion. Wallet submissions continue to flood the announcement thread, indicating ongoing interest and strong expectations for the upcoming airdrop.
The statement aligns with wider industry efforts to combat sybil abuse, mirroring strategies seen in cross-chain, restaking, and DeAI projects throughout 2025.
