Sui Announces SUI Connect Paris For 11th June 2025

Sui Network will hold its first in-person event in France on June 11. Titled Sui Connect: Paris, the evening aims to bring together developers, builders, and curious newcomers from the Sui community. The gathering also marks a key moment: it’s Sui’s first major appearance since the high-profile exploit of Cetus Protocol last month.

A Community Reconnect

The event will be held in central Paris and run from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM. It includes presentations from Sui leadership, ecosystem partners, and project builders.

Speakers include:

Post-Cetus Reflections

This event comes on the heels of a major exploit of Cetus Protocol, a decentralized exchange built on Sui. In late May, a smart contract vulnerability allowed attackers to drain over $220 million. Sui validators later froze a portion of the funds.

To manage the fallout, Sui initiated a community vote and created a multi-signature wallet to hold the frozen assets. Plans are now underway to reimburse affected users.

The Paris event gives the Sui team a chance to address these events directly and rebuild trust in the network’s resilience.
