@solana @Schroders @centrifuge William Gibson put it well: the future is already here—it's just not evenly distributed. A traditional debt fund landing on Solana is that future showing up in one more corner of the map.

@solana @Schroders @centrifuge Good to see big firms test this. For a normal investor, the real impact would be cheaper and faster access to funds like this. Does anyone know if retail can even buy it?

@solana @Schroders @centrifuge Could you share the tokenized fund’s eligibility and redemption terms? In particular, can a holder redeem directly, on what dealing timetable, and into which asset? Those details connect the onchain share to the underlying bond fund for readers.

High attention and emotional sentiment detected.
The $1.1 trillion asset manager is issuing an onchain share class of the strategy. It is the Schroder International Selection Fund Emerging Market Bonds fund, known as SISF. Centrifuge confirmed the fund is “now live on @solana” at 13:55 UTC. That post came minutes after Solana’s own account broke the news.
For a firm founded more than 200 years ago, the move marks a clear step deeper into public blockchains. It also pushes onchain fixed income past the cash products that have dominated the space so far.
Schroders manages roughly $1.1 trillion, or £867.8 billion, as of June 2026. That figure covers the whole firm, not this single product. Schroders did not disclose a target size for the tokenized fund.
The strategy gives investors exposure to sovereign and corporate debt from emerging economies beyond the U.S. and Europe. A team of more than 40 emerging markets debt specialists runs it. They draw on over 50 years of Schroders experience in the asset class.
According to Schroders, this is its first deployment on Solana. “Drawing on our extensive experience in emerging markets debt, we are tokenising this specific investment strategy and issuing it on Solana, marking our first deployment on the network,” said Marita Mcginley, Head of Operations, APAC and Digital Assets at Schroders.
The product is not direct ownership of the Schroders fund. Instead, it is legally a feeder fund with an onchain share class. That structure matters for anyone weighing the risk.
Investors hold tokenized shares in the feeder, which in turn invests in Schroders’ underlying Emerging Market Bond Fund. As a result, the token tracks the feeder’s net asset value. It does not grant a direct claim on the parent fund.
Centrifuge supplies the infrastructure to issue and manage those shares on Solana. Like other Centrifuge products, access likely runs through permissioned, KYC-gated rails for eligible investors. That points away from open retail minting. Schroders has not detailed the subscription terms yet.
How Schroders’ emerging-market bond offering compares with major onchain funds
Figures reflect different reporting dates and measurement methods. Fund sizes refer to individual products, rather than firm-wide assets. BENJI refers to the U.S. FOBXX fund; WisdomTree refers to WTGXX. Launch dates refer to each product’s initial launch, rather than its deployment on every listed network.
Most onchain fixed income so far has centered on cash and short-duration government debt. Tokenized Treasuries and money market funds now sit around $14 billion. That is part of a roughly $39 billion tokenized real-world asset market, per RWA.xyz data cited in coverage.
Emerging markets debt breaks that mold because it carries active credit, currency, and sovereign risk. Anil Sood, Chief Strategy and Growth Officer at Centrifuge, framed the shift directly.
“Until now, onchain fixed income has largely been built around cash and short-duration government securities,” Sood said. “Emerging markets debt introduces a fundamentally different source of risk and return, backed by one of the world’s most experienced active managers in the asset class.”
Solana Foundation echoed the point. “We are moving beyond tokenized cash products toward a market where sophisticated, actively managed strategies can be issued, distributed and integrated on public blockchain infrastructure,” said Nick Ducoff, Head of Institutional Growth at the Solana Foundation.
Schroders’ tokenization journey and its first Solana fund launch
Schroders participates in Singapore’s Project Guardian initiatives, exploring blockchain-based investment products.
Schroders receives Irish regulatory approval for its SOAR tokenized USD money market fund share class, using JPMorgan’s Kinexys infrastructure.
Centrifuge brings the NYLIM Anemoy U.S. High Yield Corporate Bond Fund to Solana, extending its institutional fixed-income lineup.
Schroders and Centrifuge introduce tokenized feeder shares providing exposure to the Schroder ISF Emerging Market Bonds strategy. This marks Schroders’ first deployment on Solana.
Centrifuge announces live availability. Its dashboard displays approximately $200,442 in fund assets in the launch-day snapshot.
Watch for further subscriptions, clearer investor eligibility and jurisdiction details, and published subscription and redemption terms. The supplied research identifies no confirmed timetable for additional disclosures.
Centrifuge is a real-world asset protocol that was historically Ethereum-focused and now spans several chains. Its platform holds roughly $707 million in active assets, according to DefiLlama. Much of that comes from products such as the Janus Henderson Anemoy funds.
The firm already has a Solana track record. In late September 2026, Centrifuge brought the NYLIM Anemoy US High Yield Corporate Bond Fund to the network. So the Schroders Solana deployment builds on real groundwork, not a cold start.
Solana, for its part, offers high throughput and low fees. That suits funds that want public distribution and DeFi composability. Solana now hosts about $2.1 billion in active real-world assets, according to DefiLlama. Asset managers keep adding to that total.
Schroders is not new to tokenization, even if this is its Solana debut. In August 2026, it won Central Bank of Ireland approval for a landmark product. That was the first tokenized share class of a USD money market fund, called SOAR. Schroders built it with JPMorgan’s Kinexys.
Still, several details remain thin. Coverage and public sources did not list a token ticker or a mint address. They also skipped any Centrifuge pool page or go-live transaction hashes.
Minimum investment, eligible jurisdictions, and current subscriptions also stay unknown for now. On top of that, some early reactions on X flagged a real concern. Emerging markets debt can face stressed liquidity. So redemption mechanics may behave very differently from par-stable money funds.
Markets showed little immediate reaction. SOL traded around $92 to $94 on November 4, with only mild daily moves. The news also landed in the afternoon UTC, which limited any instant move.
The bigger story is directional. A 200-year-old manager is putting an actively managed EM debt strategy onchain. That suggests institutions now see Solana as more than a home for tokenized cash. The next test is whether real subscriptions follow the announcement.
