Author: Akshat Thakur
March 3, 2026 ā Ice Open Network Launches $ION Trading on PancakeSwap following the completion of its migration from the legacy $ICE token to the native $ION asset. The decentralized listing adds more than $1.5 million in liquidity, marking a significant step in the projectās transition to its dedicated Layer 1 blockchain. The launch follows the finalized token migration on December 17, 2025, when the team converted $ICE holdings into $ION and moved the network fully onto its own mainnet infrastructure.

@ice_blockchain @BNBCHAIN I used your address to add ION to my web3 wallet and I made a transaction with the same address, but why is it that online + is successful but the balance does not enter my web3 wallet?
š $ION is now live on PancakeSwap. Following the successful migration from $ICE to $ION, trading is officially open on @BNBCHAIN. Over $1.5M in liquidity has been added, providing a strong foundation for the next phase of growth. š Additional exchange listings are coming https://t.co/M9dvUfZCA6

Steady attention without excessive speculation.
Ice Open Network originally launched in 2023 as a mobile-first blockchain initiative allowing users to mine $ICE tokens via a smartphone application. The project gained rapid adoption through its tap-to-mine model, accumulating more than 20 million users by mid-2025.
Initially deployed on Binance Smart Chain, the $ICE token supported staking rewards and ecosystem growth. In early 2025, the network launched its mainnet and introduced the ION Bridge to facilitate transfers from BSC. A rebrand from $ICE to $ION followed to align the token identity with the Ice Open Network blockchain.
The full migration process concluded in December 2025. Users were required to move tokens to the Online+ self-custodial wallet to complete the automatic conversion. Following migration, $ION became the sole native asset powering the ecosystem.
With Ice Open Network Launches $ION Trading on PancakeSwap, the token now has decentralized liquidity access on BNB Chain. The listing enables users to trade $ION through standard automated market maker pools, typically paired with assets such as BNB or USDT.
The addition of $1.5 million in liquidity is intended to stabilize early trading activity and support price discovery. The project has also indicated that centralized exchange listings are being explored to expand accessibility.
This launch represents the first major liquidity expansion since the migration, signaling a shift from transition mode to ecosystem growth.
$ION functions as the core utility asset of the Ice Open Network blockchain. It is used for transaction fees, staking for network security, and powering applications within the ecosystem.
The token incorporates a deflationary mechanism where a portion of each transaction fee is burned. This automatic burn reduces circulating supply over time, theoretically supporting long-term scarcity as network usage increases.
Within the ecosystem, $ION powers applications such as Online+, a self-custodial wallet, and PUMPit, a token launchpad focused on community-driven projects. Upcoming features include Tokenized Communities, which aim to enable on-chain governance and shared incentive structures.
Key milestones in Ice Open Networkās evolution from tap-to-mine to Layer 1
Project launches as Ice Network on BNB Smart Chain, using a tap-to-mine mobile app to distribute $ICE and grow its early user base.
Mainnet goes live and introduces the ION Bridge, supporting network functionality beyond the original app-based mining model.
The project executes a ticker change to $ION as part of a broader branding and product transition.
With reported user growth surpassing 20 million, Ice Network rebrands to Ice Open Network and positions $ION as the core ecosystem asset.
The token migration completes, marking the shift away from the original $ICE distribution era and aligning the ecosystem around a Layer 1 roadmap.
$ION begins trading on PancakeSwap with ~$1.5M liquidity, framed as a deflationary token for staking and dApp activity, drawing mixed community reactions.
After the December 2025 migration, all $ICE balances were converted to $ION for users who completed the transfer through the official Online+ application. The ION Bridge now exclusively supports $ION transfers between supported networks.
On PancakeSwap, trading operates under standard decentralized exchange mechanics. Liquidity pools facilitate swaps, and users can interact directly via supported wallets. Staking on the ION mainnet allows holders to delegate tokens to validators in exchange for rewards while supporting network consensus.
The deflationary burn activates automatically with each transaction, reducing supply without requiring manual intervention.
