Author: Kritika Gupta
9th September 2026- Solana told 4.17 million followers that the World XYZ prediction market is now live at world.xyz. The post amplified a launch from World XYZ, a Solana-native prediction market. The project had just opened a standalone web app to a claimed one million person waitlist.

High attention and emotional sentiment detected.
The announcement landed at 13:18 UTC. Solana quoted the project directly, writing “BREAKING: @world_xyz is now live on Solana.” The product itself is not new. It had run inside the Phantom wallet since July 1, so the news is the opening of a dedicated site.
World XYZ lets users trade YES or NO event contracts on real-world outcomes. The standalone app opens that market to a wider audience through a browser, not just inside Phantom.
The launch slate is broad. It covers NFL games, seven soccer leagues, and Formula 1. Political markets include the 2026 US midterms and the next Fed rate decision. According to the team, it has already run more than 150,000 markets since the July debut.
The onboarding flow in the launch post is short. Users create an account, connect X, place a trade, then get a teased “surprise.” The app is powered by Solana, Chainlink, and Phantom’s CASH stablecoin.
World XYZ spent most of 2026 in stealth. The account teased a “Trade Everything” concept before any product shipped. CoinDesk then unveiled it on July 1 as a fully on-chain prediction market living inside Phantom.
That first phase kept the market embedded in the wallet. The September 9 step moves the same protocol onto its own site. The site still talks to Solana wallets and offers optional X login. The waitlist, circulated for weeks as world.xyz/waitlist, is the audience the app now targets.
Key milestones in World XYZ’s Solana prediction market rollout
The World XYZ social account launches before the project begins teasing its prediction market.
The project previews a Solana-based “Trade Everything” product without initially revealing its full scope.
World XYZ introduces its Solana-native prediction market with Chainlink-powered resolution and CASH settlement.
The platform reportedly runs more than 150,000 markets while attracting a waitlist of over 1 million users.
World XYZ opens its standalone web app at world.xyz, with Solana officially amplifying the launch.
Wider access, additional markets and deeper Solana integrations may follow. No platform token or World ID integration has been confirmed.
Each market resolves into standard SPL tokens that sit in the user’s own Solana wallet. YES and NO shares are composable, so they can move into other Solana apps. The docs describe the system as non-custodial, meaning the wallet signs and World XYZ does not hold user funds.
Outcomes settle through Chainlink Data Streams and its Runtime Environment. That lets a market resolve when a game ends or a data print hits, without a token-holder vote. Payouts arrive in CASH, the dollar-backed stablecoin from Phantom.
Johann Eid, chief business officer at Chainlink Labs, framed the demand for The Defiant. “World’s rapid growth and 1 million user waitlist reflects the massive demand for next-generation prediction markets on Solana,” he said.
The name invites confusion, so the distinction matters. World XYZ is not Worldcoin, and it is not Sam Altman’s World, Tools for Humanity, WLD, or World ID. Those projects handle biometric identity, and they are separate companies.
WLD, the token tied to that other World, traded near $0.45 on September 9. Its market cap sat around $1.67 billion. None of that price action belongs to this launch. World XYZ did not list a governance token, and its docs describe only position SPL tokens.
Traders should also treat lookalike Solana tokens with caution. A memecoin using the “world” name carries a mint ending in “pump.” Its own site states that it is not affiliated with world.xyz. Phantom flags it as unverified.
The confusion runs deep because both projects use the word “world” and both touch Solana. The other World once bridged its identity product to Solana through Wormhole. That link handled proof-of-human checks, not event trading, and it does not connect to this app.
Much of the launch-hour chatter on X was referral farming and airdrop hunting rather than product critique. Pre-launch posts had hinted at a large reward for early Solana users. Some accounts circulated a rumored $319 million figure.
The reaction cooled once the “surprise” appeared to be the app itself. One tracked account, @Coco_Airdrop, told followers there was no airdrop and no giveaway. The official framing stayed celebratory, calling the moment a “new world order.”
Coverage is not fully settled. A CoinMarketCap Academy item from July claimed World XYZ was leaving Solana for Robinhood Chain. That claim conflicts with the September 9 “live on Solana” post and with same-day reporting, so it reads as outdated.
Several key details remain unconfirmed. It is unclear whether every waitlisted user can trade immediately or in staged access. The team has not published program IDs, a market factory address, or protocol TVL.
Regulatory questions may also surface later. Event contracts on sports and US politics could draw attention from the CFTC or state regulators. No agency is named in the launch posts. For now, the World XYZ prediction market stands as a live Solana product. It resolves through Chainlink and settles in CASH. The market will judge whether the waitlist converts into real volume.
