The Winklevoss twins have reportedly donated $2M in Bitcoin to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign to end “Joe Biden’s war on crypto”.
The twins shared the news on their respective X handles and also pledged to vote for Trump come November.
Trump is “pro-Bitcoin, pro-crypto, pro-business”, Cameron Winklevoss declared on X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday. “And he will put an end to the Biden Administration’s war on crypto.”
Gemini, run by the Winklevoss twins, has been prohibited from operating any crypto-lending programs in New York. This action follows allegations that the company misled thousands of investors about the risks of its Earn scheme. New York State Attorney General Letitia James asserted that “hundreds of thousands of people” had been “swindled.”
