MYX Finance (MYX), a non-custodial decentralized perpetuals DEX using a matching pool mechanism for on-chain derivatives trading, surged 65.4% in price in the past 24 hours to trade at $0.3498 The move came without a specific project announcement and instead followed a derivatives-driven rally fueled by rising open interest and short liquidations across perp markets. MYX Finance price action accelerated due to derivatives market activity rather than a project-specific catalyst. Perpetual futures volume reached $268.26 million in 24 hours. CoinGlass data showed elevated open interest and increased short liquidations during the same period. This setup typically indicates traders closing bearish positions, which pushes prices higher.
CoinGecko data confirmed that spot trading volume rose 733% day-over-day, reinforcing that the rally was supported by both derivatives and spot flows. The price also broke out from a recent consolidation range near $0.21, which acted as a technical trigger for momentum traders. Broader market conditions contributed as well, with capital rotating into high-volatility DeFi and perpetual trading tokens, a pattern observed in previous altcoin cycles.
MYX Finance recorded $85,577,650 in 24-hour trading volume, according to CoinGecko, compared to recent daily averages between $10 million and $60 million. CoinGlass data showed open interest at $78.89 million, reflecting sustained derivatives positioning during the rally. The funding rate stood at +0.0471%, indicating a slight long bias among traders. DefiLlama reported total value locked at $21.01 million, with no major short-term change, suggesting the price move remained primarily driven by trading activity rather than new capital inflows.
Discussion around MYX Finance remains limited despite the sharp move. The official account @MYX_Finance has not posted any updates in the past 24 hours, indicating that the rally is not tied to new announcements or roadmap developments.
On-chain and derivatives data serve as the primary sentiment proxy, with rising volume and open interest signaling active trader participation. However, not all views are bullish. A trader, Seven.七七 (@Lu77okk), warned that “spot control exceeds 96%” and highlighted abnormal futures positioning, suggesting the rally could reflect coordinated activity. No additional verified analyst commentary with large followings appeared in top discussions during this period.
MYX Finance is currently trading below its immediate resistance near $0.60, which marks a recent 24-hour high based on TradingView data. The key support zone sits between $0.25 and $0.30, corresponding to the consolidation range from April 11 to April 13. Above the current resistance, the next major historical level is around $1.00+, based on March 2026 price action. Momentum indicators showed a bullish bias, with price holding above short-term moving averages, although no exact RSI value was available in the latest data snapshot.

The next confirmed events for MYX Finance include token unlocks scheduled for May 6 and June 6, 2026, each releasing approximately 16.33 million MYX, or about 1.6% of total supply, according to CoinLaunch.
These unlocks introduce potential sell pressure.
In the broader context, continued activity in the perpetuals trading sector could sustain volatility, but MYX has historically seen 30% to 80% corrections following sharp rallies, which remains a key risk factor.
