High attention and emotional sentiment detected.
The launch caps a chaotic rollout. Degens found earlier versions of the smart contracts weeks ago. According to Hayden Adams, they traded over $150 million before the official interface even went live.
In the announcement, Uniswap Labs kept the pitch simple. “Say hello to Pools, a new launchpad built for Robinhood Chain,” the team wrote. It called the product a place to “launch a token, discover new ones, and trade them end to end.”
Pools, as the team also calls it, is a launchpad built entirely by Uniswap Labs. With Uniswap Launches TradePools, anyone can create a token with a fixed supply of 1 billion. Each token then settles into a permanent Uniswap v4 pool.
So the product covers the full token lifecycle. First you launch. Then you discover. Finally you trade, all in one place.
There is also no added launchpad fee. Instead, tokens pay only the standard 0.25% Uniswap v4 fee. That fee structure is a direct shot at rival platforms that charge more. For creators, it also means more of each trade stays in the pool.
The timing matters too. Robinhood Chain had already drawn heavy memecoin volume in July, and rival launchpads like Pons and Flap were capturing fees. With Uniswap Launches TradePools, the protocol is now moving up the stack to capture that flow directly.
The launchpad offers two launch modes. First, Crowd Launch runs a four-hour bid window. It uses a time-weighted average price, so bots cannot easily bundle the supply.
Each token also needs to reach a $10,000 fully diluted value. Otherwise, buyers get a refund. As a result, weak launches fail safely instead of trapping early money.
Second, Instant Launch uses a classic bonding curve. With Uniswap Launches TradePools, the token goes live immediately with no graduation threshold. This mode mirrors the pump.fun style that memecoin traders already know.
Both paths end in the same place. Every token graduates into a locked Uniswap v4 pool, then trades like any other pair on the network. Because of that shared endpoint, liquidity stays deep and consistent after launch.
Every launch ships with permanently locked liquidity. Because the protocol holds it, creators cannot pull the rug later. That single rule removes one of the most common memecoin exit scams.
The liquidity also autocompounds. Fees from the 0.25% pool flow back into the locked position. Meanwhile, searchers earn an incentive to trigger that compounding, so the position keeps growing without manual work.
Creators can add a small fee too. It equals 0.05% of the 25 basis point pool fee. To limit sniping, creators also buy in the same block as the launch.
Robinhood Chain is the ground this launchpad stands on. It is a permissionless, Ethereum-compatible Layer 2. Robinhood built it on the Arbitrum Orbit stack.
The network went live on July 1, 2026. It uses ETH for gas, and its chain ID is 4663. You can read the setup details in the Robinhood Chain docs.
The chain targets tokenized real-world assets, such as stocks and ETFs, alongside DeFi. Uniswap was a day-one partner at the mainnet launch. So a native launchpad is a logical next step.
On-chain activity has grown fast. The Blockscout explorer already tracks hundreds of millions of transactions. Bridged value has reached the $1 billion range, according to DefiLlama.
Timeline: Robinhood Chain’s progression from its initial blockchain announcement through public testing, mainnet launch, rapid ecosystem growth, and the arrival of Uniswap Labs’ native TradePools launchpad, completing the on-chain token lifecycle.
Robinhood publicly announces plans for Robinhood Chain during its “Robinhood Presents: To Catch a Token” event in Cannes. The blockchain is introduced as infrastructure for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) and on-chain finance.
Robinhood opens the public testnet after months of private development. Developers receive access to RPC endpoints, documentation, and standard EVM tooling, while infrastructure partners including Alchemy, Chainlink, and LayerZero begin integrations.
Robinhood officially launches its permissionless Arbitrum Orbit/Nitro Layer-2 (Chain ID 4663) during “The World Is Flat” event in London. Day-one partners include Uniswap, Alchemy, BitGo, Chainlink, and Pleiades, alongside products such as Stock Tokens and Robinhood Earn.
Activity accelerates across Robinhood Chain as memecoin trading dominates early usage. Uniswap records significant trading activity, with reports of more than $10 billion in protocol volume during the chain’s first month while additional launchpads begin appearing.
Community researchers discover registration of the pools.trade domain, providing one of the earliest public signals that Uniswap Labs is preparing a dedicated token launch platform for Robinhood Chain.
Community members identify pre-release TradePools smart contracts before the official launch. Tokens such as $UniFrong begin trading, generating meaningful on-chain activity and liquidity before the public interface becomes available.
Uniswap founder Hayden Adams publicly confirms that Pools.trade will launch “very soon,” validating community discoveries and signaling that the platform is ready for release.
Uniswap Labs officially launches TradePools (Pools.trade), introducing Crowd Launch and Instant Launch modes, native Uniswap v4 liquidity pools, automatically locked and autocompounding liquidity, and zero additional launchpad fees. Hayden Adams reveals that the pre-release contracts had already processed more than $150 million in trading volume before the public UI went live.
Robinhood Chain now supports the complete token lifecycle—from creation and launch to liquidity and trading. Uniswap Labs has stated that TradePools remains in beta, with ongoing upgrades and additional integrations planned, although no formal roadmap dates have yet been announced.
Uniswap frames the product plainly. It says Pools is for memecoins, which are speculative and can go to zero.
The company also stresses that it does not review or endorse the tokens. So buyers carry all of the risk themselves.
The optics are worth watching too. A brokerage-linked chain now hosts a pure DeFi memecoin launchpad. Because of that, regulators could take interest, especially around tokenized assets.
Markets stayed calm around the launch. UNI traded near $4, while HOOD closed at $92.80 on August 5, down slightly on the day, according to market data. None of this is financial advice, and most memecoins lose value quickly.
Early reaction on X leaned bullish. Traders rushed to launch tokens on the new interface. Still, others flagged the same rug and volatility risk that follows every launchpad. So the excitement arrived with a clear warning attached.
The launchpad now competes with rivals like Pons and Flap. Yet it arrives with Uniswap’s liquidity and distribution behind it.
The next test is volume. Traders will watch whether Pools can hold the memecoin flow that Uniswap already dominates.
For now, you can explore the mechanics through the official Uniswap announcement. Track live data on DefiLlama and the Blockscout explorer before you touch anything.
