StandX shutdown cancels its token launch and introduces a DUSD airdrop. Explore claim dates, withdrawal deadlines and the wind-down timeline.
Author: Kritika Gupta
15th October 2026- StandX confirmed that it will not launch its planned token. Instead, the perps DEX will pay a one-time DUSD airdrop and wind down its operations. The StandX shutdown marks a rare case of a crypto project returning cash rather than issuing a speculative coin.

Steady attention without excessive speculation.
StandX is a self-funded perps DEX. It runs on BNB Chain and Solana, and it uses the yield-bearing stablecoin DUSD for margin. The team says DUSD is fully collateralized, so users can withdraw their assets in full.
The decision came straight from the top. Co-founder and CEO Aaron Gong said the team could technically launch a token based on current fundamentals. Still, he argued that a launch built on short-term speculation would be irresponsible.
Gong was candid about the reasons. StandX reached a peak TVL near $200 million without any external VC money. Yet the team still fell short of its goal to become a top-three perps DEX.
So he chose to give back directly. According to Gongās statement, launching a token on hype alone would shift the cost onto users. He also pledged to contribute personal funds to the airdrop.
The airdrop replaces the token entirely. Eligible users receive a one-time DUSD allocation with no lockup and no vesting. In other words, the full amount is claimable right away.
The timeline is tight. The airdrop checker goes live on October 26. Then claims open on November 1 and close on December 31. After that, StandX forfeits any unclaimed rewards.
Eligibility rests on real activity. StandX counts pre-deposits, Alpha, Mainnet trading, market making, and referrals. Meanwhile, anti-Sybil and wash-trading checks screen out abnormal accounts.
The funding source is unusual too. StandX will use its remaining revenue plus extra team contributions. Users should also claim from the BNB Chain or Solana wallet tied to their account.
The wind-down follows a fixed schedule. Trading stays normal until October 20. From that date, StandX switches its perps to Reduce-Only mode.
The next milestone lands in the new year. On January 15, 2027, StandX force-closes every open position at the Mark Price. At the same time, all vaults settle at their final value.
Yield has already stopped. As of October 15, DUSD yield, Position Yield, maker yield, and referral commissions all ended. New vaults and deposits also closed on the same day.
StandX shutdown: key dates and action deadlines
StandX cancels its planned token launch, announces a gradual shutdown and ends all yield programs.
Traders can only reduce or close existing positions. Opening new positions or increasing exposure stops.
Eligible users can claim their full DUSD allocation immediately, with no lockup or vesting.
The DUSD claim window ends. Any unclaimed allocations are forfeited.
Remaining orders are canceled, open positions close at the prevailing Mark Price and vaults settle.
These terms decide how traders exit. Reduce-Only lets you shrink or close a position, but you cannot open or add to one. As a result, open interest can only fall from October 20.
Force-close works differently. On January 15, the protocol closes any position still open at the current Mark Price. That price comes from StandXās reference oracle, so it tracks the live market.
The practical lesson is simple. If you want to pick your own exit price, close your position before January 15. Otherwise, you take the mark-price exit that the protocol sets.
Withdrawals follow a clear path. First, move funds from your Perps Wallet to your Cash Wallet. Then withdraw on-chain as DUSD before January 31, 2027.
Converting to USDT takes an extra step. Users submit an official DUSD redemption request by January 31. Because the process runs seven days, requests filed by the deadline should settle by about February 7.
One date matters most for liquidity. On January 31, StandX removes its DUSD liquidity from PancakeSwap and Raydium. After that, remaining balances still belong to owners, who can email support@standx.com to recover them.
The response has been mixed. Many points farmers and pre-market traders feel let down after months of effort. Still, others praise StandX for paying real DUSD instead of dumping a worthless token.
The market numbers tell the backstory. StandX TVL has fallen to roughly $22.5 million, down from a peak above $200 million, according to DefiLlama. Meanwhile, its Aspecta pre-market reportedly crashed about 98.8% right after the news.
DUSD itself has mostly held its peg. The stablecoin trades near $0.998 on CoinMarketCap, though some sources flagged brief dips toward $0.95. So far, no broad depeg event has appeared.
A minority view calls this a quiet exit. As crypto.news reported, some critics label the StandX shutdown a soft rug after heavy points farming. The team rejects that framing and points to full collateralization and safe user funds.
The clock is now the main risk. Users who want to choose their exit should close positions before January 15. Everyone else should withdraw and file any DUSD redemption request well before January 31.
The StandX shutdown will test how an orderly crypto exit really plays out. For now, watch the airdrop checker on October 26 and track the official docs for changes. This article is not financial advice, so confirm every detail through StandX before you act.
