@SolanaFloor @solana 1.49 million launches is less a product roadmap and more a cosmic weather report for deploy buttons. The durable signal is whether discovery and liquidity can concentrate anywhere long enough to build a community.

SolanaFloor posted the claim at 08:20 UTC on Monday. The account shared a Solscan chart of new SPL tokens to support the figure. So far, no major outlet has independently republished the weekly number.
The post read: āBREAKING: @Solana recorded a record 1.49 million+ token launches over the past 7 days.ā You can read the original claim on SolanaFloorās X account.
The attached chart carries a Solscan watermark and runs through 13 September. That suggests a window of roughly 7 to 13 September. Still, SolanaFloor did not state exact start and end times.
The account gave no precise integer either. Instead, it rounded to ā1.49 million+ā and skipped a day-by-day breakdown. As a result, the exact sum stays unverified for now.
Here is the key detail. The chart tracks new SPL token mints across the whole network, according to Solscanās token analytics page. In other words, it counts every fungible mint that gets created.
That figure is not the same as vetted projects. It also differs from launchpad launches on platforms like Pump.fun. Many mints are bot farms, test tokens, duplicate tickers, or single-wallet experiments.
On Solana, creating a token costs a fraction of a dollar in SOL. Because minting is so cheap, raw counts can run to six figures per day. So a huge weekly total reflects low cost and heavy automation, not demand for 1.49 million real assets.
The weekly claim sits on firmer ground than it first appears. Around 9 to 10 September, multiple outlets reported a record daily print of more than 263,000 new SPL tokens. Cointelegraph covered that record, citing Solscan.
The split on that day matters most. According to Blockworks data cited by Cointelegraph, tracked launchpads issued just 40,360 tokens. Pump.fun accounted for 34,184 of those.
By comparison, that leaves roughly 223,000 mints outside tracked launchpads. So launchpads explained only about 15% of the daily total. Altcoin Buzz stressed the same point, warning against calling every mint a launch.
Pump.fun still leads the pack, yet the field keeps widening. Rivals like LetsBonk, Raydium LaunchLab, Believe, and Jup Studio have each grabbed share in waves through 2025 and 2026.
A newer entrant is reshaping the mix too. StonkFun pairs meme coins with tokenized stocks and other assets. According to SolanaFloor, it flipped Pump.fun on daily revenue at times and plugged into Raydium LaunchLab.
The money still concentrates, though. Pump.fun took about $124 million of Solanaās $342 million in app revenue during the first quarter of 2026. That is roughly one third, even as meme trading cooled from its 2025 peak.
Volume tells you little about quality. Historically, fewer than 2% of Pump.fun tokens ever graduate from the bonding curve to a live DEX market. That figure comes from Solana Compass.
Other samples paint an even harsher picture. CryptoBriefing put sustained survival at āroughly 1% or fewerā during a busy August week. Most tokens simply die on the curve with almost no liquidity.
For context, daily mints sat near 40,000 to 50,000 back in December 2024. Todayās pace runs about five times higher. Notably, part of that jump comes from newer factories rather than classic meme coins.
This is not the first ārecord weekā SolanaFloor has flagged. On 31 August, the account said Solana saw more than 800,000 new tokens in seven days. It also claimed Pump.fun launches crossed 300,000 that week.
If both figures hold, 1.49 million would nearly double that pace in two weeks. Still, both totals came from SolanaFloor, not an independent audit. Treat the jump as directional, not exact.
The mint surge did not spark a rally. SOL drifted from about $104 early in the week to a $98.63 close on 10 September. That was the daily-record day, per CoinGecko. Then it chopped around $100.
Trading activity stayed busy, though. Solanaās weekly DEX volume reached $16.6 billion, up 7.4% week over week, according to DefiLlama. Pump led with $3.4 billion over seven days.
Revenue held up too. The parent Pump platform booked roughly $10.2 million in seven-day revenue on DefiLlama. Even so, strong fees do not confirm that 1.49 million mints are meaningful assets.
The debate now centers on what the record means, not whether mints spiked. Bulls frame Solana as an asset-creation layer. Critics call the count a casino scoreboard.
The next test is simple. A second data desk could try to sum Solscanās seven-day chart and confirm the 1.49 million figure. Until then, treat Solana token launches at this scale as a SolanaFloor claim tied to raw mints, not audited projects.
