@solana 1.318 BILLION non-vote transactions in one week. 🤯 Solana isn’t slowing down. Real usage keeps hitting new highs, and this is exactly the kind of on-chain growth $SOL bulls want to see. 🚀

@solana This is the kind of growth that makes execution just as important as analysis. When markets are active 24/7, consistency often matters more than constantly watching the charts. It's one of the reasons we're focused on building AURA BOT to help traders automate execution while

High attention and emotional sentiment detected.
According to the announcement, the figure covers last week and relies on data from Blockworks. The previous record of 1.154 billion lasted only seven days. As a result, the new mark represents roughly a 14.3% jump.
The ecosystem account @solana_sailor shared the same math. In short, each recent record has fallen within a week of the last.
Non-vote transactions measure real activity on the network. They exclude the consensus votes that validators submit continuously to confirm blocks.
Instead, they capture what users and applications actually do. That includes token transfers, DEX trades, DeFi interactions, NFT mints, gaming moves, and AI agent calls.
Total counts run much higher because every validator votes often. For context, vote-inclusive figures are usually cited at roughly 3 to 3.5 times the non-vote number.
So the non-vote metric offers a cleaner read on genuine demand for blockspace. According to Messari, it strips out the largest source of padding before you even start.
Weekly transaction volume comparison across major Layer 1 networks, using approximately the same 7-day window around 17–23/24 August 2026.
The climb through 2026 has been steady. Back in January, daily non-vote records sat near 148 million.
By June, the monthly non-vote total reached about 3.77 billion. Meanwhile, weekly records crept toward 962 million.
Then early July delivered a milestone. Solana crossed 1 billion non-vote transactions in a week for the first time.
According to CryptoBriefing and Solana Compass, daily counts kept climbing after that. They reached 169.9 million on August 4 and 171.9 million on August 10.
The August 10 figure translated to about 1,990 sustained transactions per second. Weekly totals also held above 1 billion across that stretch.
Reports cited marks near 1.012 billion, then 1.12 billion, then 1.2 billion. Now the 1.318 billion print sets a fresh bar.
Several upgrades sit behind the numbers. Most notably, validators raised the compute-unit limit per block by roughly 66% in late July.
Higher compute limits let each block do more work. In turn, the network can pack more user activity into the same short slot times.
Client diversity also matters. Jump Crypto shipped its Firedancer client, along with the Frankendancer hybrid, to mainnet production. As of August 2026, some validators run fully on Firedancer.
Parallel execution helps as well. Solana’s Sealevel engine processes many transactions at once rather than one at a time.
Other pieces support the throughput too. Priority fees, QUIC networking, stake-weighted quality of service, and local fee markets all help the network manage congestion under load.
Reliability has improved alongside speed. According to Solana Compass, the network has logged 30 straight months without a full-cluster outage, its last major halt dating to February 2024.
SOL traded near $96 on August 24, according to price trackers. Also, the token moved between 0.5% and 1.7% over 24 hours.
That followed a stronger prior week of about 27%. Still, no clear price spike tied directly to the announcement appeared in available data.
On-chain activity looked solid alongside the record. According to DefiLlama, Solana total value locked stood around $5.55 billion.
DEX volume added further context. Seven-day DEX volume reached roughly $18.6 billion, while 24-hour DEX volume sat near $2.74 billion. Stablecoin supply on Solana, meanwhile, held around $16 billion.
Not everyone reads the record as pure demand. For years, skeptics have argued that raw counts are inflated by bots, arbitrage, and memecoin spam.
History gives them ammunition. In April 2024, for example, roughly 75% of non-vote transactions failed, and analysts largely blamed bots.
Even Blockworks segments high-transaction-count addresses as likely bots. Similarly, Glassnode has flagged transfer-volume inflation on high-throughput chains.
Supporters counter that bots still pay fees and stress-test the network. Still, throughput alone does not prove unique users, durable fees, or long-term value.
The day-by-day breakdown within the record week also remains private for now. So the exact share of organic activity stays an open question. This article is not financial advice.
The main question is whether the volume sustains. According to the official account, the previous ATH lasted just one week before this one topped it.
Firedancer adoption and further compute-limit increases could push counts higher still. For now, the 1.318 billion mark stands as the clearest sign yet of Solana’s growing on-chain demand.
Traders and builders will watch the next weekly print closely. In the meantime, the record keeps Solana’s throughput story firmly in the spotlight.
