MoonPay Adds Robinhood Chain Support for USDG Purchases

Background

MoonPay operates a fiat-to-crypto on-ramp that helps users purchase digital assets through conventional payment methods. With the latest integration, MoonPay users can buy USDG and send it directly to a wallet address on Robinhood Chain.

Paxos issues USDG as a dollar-pegged stablecoin through the Global Dollar Network. Robinhood participates in that network as a founding member. Therefore, the integration links MoonPay’s retail payment infrastructure with a stablecoin that already fits Robinhood’s broader on-chain financial strategy.

Robinhood Chain launched its public mainnet on July 1, 2026. The permissionless Ethereum Layer-2 network uses the Arbitrum technology stack and settles transactions to Ethereum. It uses ETH as its gas token and targets financial services, tokenized real-world assets, stock tokens, and AI-native applications.

The network also targets fast transaction processing, with block times of roughly 100 milliseconds. Consequently, Robinhood Chain aims to combine a responsive user experience with Ethereum-based settlement and security.

MoonPay already supports networks such as Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, and Polygon. However, its direct support for Robinhood Chain and USDG represents a new onboarding route for the recently launched ecosystem.

Seamless On-Ramping for Everyday Users

The integration reduces the number of steps required to enter Robinhood Chain. Previously, users could have needed to buy an asset on another platform, transfer it to a wallet, bridge it to the network, and then swap it into USDG.

Now, MoonPay handles the purchase and wallet delivery through one flow. This structure can improve accessibility for users who understand card payments but lack experience with bridges, exchanges, and on-chain swaps.

Furthermore, direct onboarding can reduce user errors. Every additional transaction introduces risks such as selecting the wrong network, copying an incorrect address, or paying unnecessary fees. MoonPay removes several of those steps.

Strengthening USDG’s Role on Robinhood Chain

The integration could strengthen USDG’s position as a core liquidity asset on Robinhood Chain. Users already use the stablecoin within the network, including through lending and yield products such as Robinhood Earn.

Direct purchasing gives users a clearer route into those applications. It can also increase the amount of stablecoin liquidity available for lending, payments, settlement, and decentralized trading.

However, easier access does not remove financial risk. Users still need to evaluate smart contracts, vault structures, platform fees, and yield sources before depositing USDG into on-chain products.

Expanding Access to On-Chain Finance

MoonPay’s support gives Robinhood Chain access to a large retail-facing distribution channel shortly after its mainnet launch. That access could help the network attract users who might otherwise avoid complicated bridging processes.

In addition, the integration supports Robinhood Chain’s focus on tokenized stocks, real-world assets, and financial applications. Stablecoins often act as the settlement layer for these markets because they give users a dollar-denominated asset for trading, collateral, and payments.

Ultimately, MoonPay does more than add another supported network. It creates a direct connection between everyday payment methods and Robinhood Chain’s on-chain economy. The network must still attract developers, liquidity, and sustained user activity, but simpler access gives it a stronger foundation for growth.
