Render Network has announced the launch of two key proposals, RNP-017 and RNP-018, aimed at enhancing the network’s functionality and supporting its growing community.
RNP-017 introduces OctaneRender for Blender into the Render Network, expanding upon the Blender Cycles integration introduced in RNP-014. This new feature allows Blender users to leverage Octane’s GPU-accelerated rendering capabilities via Render’s distributed infrastructure.
The purpose of RNP-017 is to equip Blender artists with industry-leading rendering tools, ensuring creative freedom and technical excellence.

This integration reaffirms the Render Network’s mission to provide access to the best creative tools while giving artists the flexibility to choose what works best for their projects.
RNP-018 focuses on emissions allocations for the second year of the Burn-Mint Equilibrium (BME), an economic mechanism introduced in RNP-001. The proposal builds on the success of Year 1 to further the growth and sustainability of the Render Network.
The total emissions for Year 2 are proposed at 5.9 million RENDER, allocated as follows:
Once approved, Year 2 emissions will begin immediately. Allocations will be reviewed quarterly to ensure alignment with community needs, and adjustments will be made as necessary to address new challenges or opportunities.
RNP-017 and RNP-018 are pivotal to the Render Network’s continued growth and innovation. These proposals set the stage for expanding capabilities, supporting its community, and ensuring the network’s long-term sustainability. Discussions for Year 3 emissions and development will begin in 2025, with input from the Render Network community shaping the future.
