KuCoin institutional trading now enables firms to trade without pre-funding wallets, using BitGo’s custody and Go Network for safer off-exchange settlement.

KuCoin has launched a feature that lets institutions trade without pre-funding wallets. This new service aims to match expectations from traditional finance. The KuCoin institutional trading system works with BitGo Singapore’s Go Network. It allows for off-exchange settlement while keeping assets in custody.
Assets remain in BitGo’s control until trades are settled. This reduces risk and improves trust. KuCoin’s full trading suite—spot, margin, options, and futures—is now available via the Go Network.
BitGo Singapore is a trusted custodian. Institutions can now trade on KuCoin without moving their funds to the exchange. This makes KuCoin institutional trading safer and more attractive.
The system is designed to prevent fund losses during downtime or outages. It follows the traditional model of separating execution from custody. This mirrors structures used by banks and large brokerages.
As crypto regulation improves, more institutions are entering the market. KuCoin’s move to support KuCoin institutional trading positions it to meet this demand. Institutions want trading models that match what they know.
The system also echoes Silvergate Bank’s SEN platform. However, KuCoin avoids the centralized risks that helped sink Silvergate. Instead, it uses a blockchain-native method.
This update lowers entry barriers for institutions. They can now trade with confidence, knowing their assets are secure.
KuCoin is making a clear push to attract serious players. The focus on asset protection and familiar trading workflows may help it stand out in the crowded exchange market.
