Kaspa has officially launched Crescendo Testnet 10, a major milestone in its ongoing effort to scale blockchain performance. This testnet increases block speeds from 1 to 10 blocks per second (BPS), enabling faster transactions and smoother network performance.
This testnet serves as the final stage before Kaspa’s major hard fork. The upgrade brings higher transaction throughput and positions Kaspa for future advancements, including smart contracts, new applications, and enterprise integrations. The goal is to refine network performance, optimize node operations, and catch potential bugs before rolling out the changes on mainnet.
The Kaspa team has spent months identifying processing bottlenecks, optimizing network performance, and refining node requirements. With Crescendo Testnet 10 now live, developers and node operators can stress-test the system under real-world conditions.

The next steps include:
Kaspa’s high-speed block processing is a significant step toward making decentralized finance (DeFi) more efficient and scalable. With 10x faster blocks, Kaspa aims to become a blockchain capable of handling high-volume transactions without sacrificing decentralization.
If you’re a Kaspa holder, miner, or developer, this upgrade could significantly impact your experience. Faster block times mean quicker transactions, lower latency, and a smoother network for applications. For those using Kaspa for payments or DeFi, this could improve transaction efficiency and reduce delays.
For miners and node operators, this is the last chance to test infrastructure and optimize setups before the hard fork. Running nodes now helps ensure a stable transition to mainnet.
If you’re watching Kaspa as an investor, the successful implementation of 10 BPS could enhance adoption and usability, potentially increasing demand for KAS tokens. However, as with any upgrade, risks exist—testing ensures that bugs and performance issues are resolved before deployment.
As always, do your own research (DYOR) and stay updated as Kaspa moves closer to its biggest upgrade yet.
The Kaspa community is known to be one of the biggest and vocal communities on socials and they were excited on the launch. It was very difficult to find any negative sentiment on the launch which is very rare in today’s world.
