In his recent statement, Argentina President Javier Milei advocated his support for Bitcoin and other other currencies to be used in Argentina.
Milei’s statement was in response to Gabor Gurbacs, former Director of Digital Asset Strategy at VanEck, who replied to his tweet with “Bitcoin for all.” Milei affirmed that his administration would support free competition among currencies, including Bitcoin, as well as units like West Texas Intermediate (WTI) and British Thermal Units (BTU).
Milei is a friend of El Salvador president Nayib Bukele and his actions could be inspired by the Bukele’s adoption of Bitcoin as the legal tender in El Salvador.
