Steady attention without excessive speculation.
The launch went out around 13:37 UTC on Monday. Sunrise, Backpack, and the official Solana account all posted within a minute of each other. The timing is deliberate, because Intel reports Q2 earnings after the close on Thursday.
Backpack Securities is the regulated brokerage arm of Backpack. It issued the token, and Sunrise handled the on-chain listing and day-one liquidity. Sunrise is a product from Wormhole Labs built for canonical Solana listings of tokens and real-world assets.
According to Backpack, $INTC is a fully-backed tokenized share. It is not a synthetic, a CFD, or a price-tracker. Instead, each token represents a claim on a real Intel share held in regulated custody.
The canonical Solana mint address is iNTCy1qTsUEZQe3DSocLz1ZXXai34Gdw8THQh5rxFaF. You can verify it on Solscan or on the tokens.xyz verification page that Solana referenced.
The model rests on real custody. Backpack Securities holds the actual Intel shares as U.S. security entitlements under New York UCC Article 8. Then Sunrise mints the matching Solana tokens 1:1 against those holdings.
Redemption runs both ways. According to Backpack, holders can redeem a token 1:1 for the underlying Intel share. That share can then move through ACATS and DTCC rails into a traditional brokerage account.
The reverse also works. A user who already holds real Intel shares at Backpack can tokenize them into the on-chain version. So the token and the share stay interchangeable by design.
Settlement is another contrast. On-chain trades finalize in seconds on Solana, while traditional equity settlement still runs on a T+1 cycle. As a result, Intel stock on Solana can trade continuously, even when Nasdaq is closed.
Solana’s tokenized-stock rollout and key milestones
xStocks, Backed Finance, and Ondo expand access to tokenized stocks across Solana’s on-chain markets.
Backpack introduces its regulated brokerage and tokenization infrastructure alongside Sunrise from Wormhole Labs.
Backpack and Sunrise list $SPCX, $MU, $SNDK, and the $DRAM tokenized ETF on Solana.
The 1:1-backed Intel share token becomes tradable across supported Solana wallets, apps, and DEXs.
The rollout could expand toward additional major stocks and ETFs, although future listings remain unconfirmed.
The token is designed to appear across Solana apps from day one. Backpack and Sunrise named venues including Jupiter, Raydium, Phantom, Titan Exchange, Kamino, DFlow, Mayan, Archer, and Fomo.
Price discovery happens on-chain through those DEXs. During Nasdaq hours, arbitrage should keep the token close to Intel’s traditional quote. Outside those hours, the on-chain price can drift, so a premium or discount may appear.
Access is limited, though. Per Backpack’s disclosures, the token is not available in the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Japan, or through Backpack EU. For now, it targets eligible international users, and KYC still applies.
This launch lands right before an earnings catalyst. Intel reports Q2 results after Thursday’s close, and traders often position hard around such events.
Traditional INTC traded in roughly the $95 to $110 range in the days before launch, according to recent market data. That put Intel’s market cap near the $480 billion to $520 billion mark, depending on the exact close.
Here is the difference on-chain. A Nasdaq trader must wait for the open to react to earnings. An eligible holder of the tokenized share can trade the reaction 24/7, including overnight and through the weekend.
Intel is not the first name in this series. Backpack Securities launched publicly in June 2026 as a dual brokerage and tokenization platform, working with Sunrise. Armani Ferrante founded and runs Backpack.
The cadence has been fast. SpaceX went live as SPCX around June 12, Micron followed as $MU on June 22, then came SanDisk and the Roundhill Memory ETF as $DRAM on June 26.
The volume has been real, too. According to the Sunrise x Backpack Dune dashboard, cumulative tokenized-stock volume topped $700 million by early July. One June day alone reportedly saw about $644 million in tokenized-equity volume on Solana.
Traditional INTC (Nasdaq) vs. $INTC on Solana
Plenty remains undisclosed. Backpack and Sunrise did not publish the initial supply, the launch price, or first-hour volume in their primary posts. So on-chain trading, not an official figure, sets the price for now.
Skeptics also raise fair points about the broader model. They question how often 1:1 backing gets proven, and they note the SEC’s still-evolving stance on tokenized securities. At the same time, geo-restrictions and thin early liquidity can widen the gap to the real share.
Intel itself has stayed silent. As of the first hours, there was no statement or filing from Intel Corporation, and no dedicated Solana Foundation post beyond the @solana amplification. None of the above is financial advice, and tokenized equities carry both market and custody risk.
The immediate test is Thursday’s earnings print. It will show whether 24/7 on-chain markets can absorb a real equity catalyst without breaking away from the Nasdaq price.
Watch the mint on Solscan and the Dune dashboard as indexing catches up. Those numbers will tell you how much demand Intel stock on Solana actually pulls in its first week.
