In a move that marks the culmination of a multi-year transition, EOS will officially rebrand to Vaulta on May 14, 2025. The rebrand includes the launch of a 1:1 token swap, replacing $EOS with $A as the network’s native utility token. Vaulta Foundation announced that the swap will be accessible via the Vaulta Swap Portal, hosted on Unicove, with no fees or slippage involved.
Vaulta Foundation CEO Yves La Rose shared insights into the strategic shift during the Blockworks Digital Asset Summit 2025. He emphasized that the rebrand reflects Vaulta’s ambition to pioneer Web3 banking. This transformation represents more than just a name change; it’s a decisive step forward in our mission to deliver open, accessible financial access for everyone,” La Rose stated.
The rebrand, first announced in March 2025, aims to evolve EOS’s decentralized infrastructure into a robust Web3 banking platform. Vaulta’s mission focuses on integrating decentralized finance with traditional financial systems to create a secure, scalable, and inclusive ecosystem.
The rebrand will officially activate on May 14 through a block producer multi-signature (MSIG) proposal. This proposal sets the Vaulta token contract live and establishes $A as the network’s official ticker.

The swap process allows $EOS holders to convert their tokens 1:1 into $A through the Vaulta Swap Portal. The swap is bi-directional for the first four months, enabling users to switch back and forth between $EOS and $A. After this period, only $EOS to $A swaps will be supported.
