The latest update highlights the ongoing integration between Zano Project and Edge Wallet, focused on making privacy easy to access inside a mainstream wallet. Zano provides built in privacy through Confidential Assets and private wrapped tokens like BTCx and ETHx, while Edge delivers a simple self custody experience with swaps and fiat on ramps.
This is a continuation of work that began in 2025 rather than a surprise release. Since Zano was first added to Edge, both teams have steadily expanded features and promoted private cross chain usage. The update reinforces a long term strategy to normalize privacy tools by embedding them directly into familiar wallet flows.
In January 2026, Zano Project integrated with StealthEX, allowing users to swap ZANO with thousands of assets without KYC. The rollout was smooth and well received, strengthening Zano’s presence across non custodial trading venues and supporting steady market activity.
Earlier, in December 2025, Bitcoin.com Wallet added private wrapped assets like BTCx and ETHx through Zano’s Confidential Layer. This brought privacy enabled Bitcoin and Ethereum to a large mainstream wallet audience, reinforcing Zano’s strategy of embedding privacy tools into widely used consumer apps.
Timeline: Zano–Edge Wallet Partnership and Confidential Layer Enablement
Initial testnet release of the Confidential Layer bridge, laying the groundwork for private cross-chain assets on Zano.
Mainnet launch of the Confidential Layer web interface, enabling wrapped Zano assets and early private bridging functionality.
Edge Wallet adds native support for $ZANO, enabling holding, swapping, and access to Zano’s privacy-focused features.
The Confidential Layer bridge becomes fully operational for BTC and ETH, minting private $BTCx and $ETHx on Zano.
Confidential Layer support expands to additional wallets (e.g., Bitcoin.com Wallet), reinforcing cross-wallet private asset access.
Zano highlights its ongoing Edge Wallet integration, emphasizing easy access to private $ZANO, Confidential Assets, private $BTCx/$ETHx bridging, and fiat on-ramps.
Planned deeper integration of native $ZANO into the Confidential Layer bridge, improving cross-chain utility and UX.
Expected launch of grants and further Confidential Asset expansions, aligned with Zano’s broader ecosystem growth initiatives.
Zano’s wallet and swap integrations in 2025 and early 2026 produced modest but consistently positive reactions. Price action remained stable with small upside moves, while Crypto Twitter sentiment emphasized usability, privacy by default, and non custodial access rather than short term speculation.
The more important impact came after the announcements. Fiat on ramps, private BTC and ETH wrappers, and no KYC swaps increased real usage and ecosystem depth over time. This utility driven growth helped Zano stay resilient during market volatility and reinforced its positioning as a practical privacy focused network.
Comparison with previous Zano wallet and partnership updates
Following the Edge Wallet update, focus shifts to Zano’s 2026 roadmap and execution. Near term priorities include Lite Wallet, Gateway Addresses, and additional Confidential Assets, alongside signs of steady TVL and wallet usage growth. These will show whether easier privacy access is translating into sustained adoption.
Looking further ahead, the key milestone is Zano’s planned move to private Proof of Stake via Zarcanum in mid 2026. Smooth delivery would strengthen security and reinforce Zano’s privacy narrative, while delays, regulatory pressure, or bridge risks could slow momentum.
