September 9, 2025, Defactor, a leader in real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, has completed the $FACTR to $REAL token swap. The $REAL token is now live on the Base blockchain, accessible at contract address 0x0b0E6E32E4d69cB418630163574959108EdCB80E, and powers staking, governance, and deflationary buyback mechanisms. Trading, deposits, and withdrawals for $REAL began on MEXC Exchange at 10:00 UTC on September 12, 2025, following a seamless 1:1 swap ratio that preserved value for all holders.
The Defactor swap process was completed smoothly. $FACTR tokens automatically converted to $REAL on supported wallets and exchanges. MEXC resumed full functionality for deposits, withdrawals, and trading under the new contract, ensuring uninterrupted market access.
The $REAL token, designed to serve as the backbone of Defactor’s RWA ecosystem, retains the original . It is a fixed 300 million supply, deflationary mechanisms funded by ecosystem revenue, and staking rewards for long-term participants. Defactor has urged its community to verify updates only through and its official X account. This is done in order to avoid scam-related risks during the transition.
Token swaps are common in the crypto sector, enabling projects to upgrade infrastructure, enhance security, and align with new goals. For Defactor, the $REAL token marks a pivot toward multichain expansion by leveraging Base’s low-cost, high-speed infrastructure while retaining integrations with Ethereum, Polygon, and BSC.
This strategic move improves liquidity and accessibility for RWA tokenization, a sector attracting institutional attention for applications like gold-backed lending pools and on-chain financial instruments. While swaps often involve temporary trading halts, the 1:1 ratio safeguarded user value and ensured continuity.
With the launch of $REAL and this Defactor swap, Defactor is advancing its roadmap to deliver modular tools for RWA origination, liquidity provision, and compliance across multiple chains. Its focus on audited contracts, staking incentives, and deflationary tokenomics reflects a long-term strategy to attract both retail and institutional users.
As RWA adoption accelerates, Defactor’s migration positions $REAL as a foundational asset in bridging traditional finance with decentralized ecosystems, reinforcing its role in the expanding tokenized asset economy.
