September 1, 2025, ChainGPT Pad announced the launch of its Buzz system, a new framework for Web3 token distribution based on community engagement. By combining Buzzdrops and Initial Buzz Offerings (IBOs), the platform aims to replace traditional airdrops and IDOs with a model that rewards authentic influence and virality. The approach, framed as part of the emerging Information Finance (InfoFi) sector, ties token allocations directly to measurable social activity, with campaigns already underway for SnowBall Finance, Ekox, and ChainGPT itself.
The ChainGPT Buzz system relies on a performance-based scoring mechanism where users earn Buzz Points through verifiable engagement tasks, such as posting on X, sharing content, or inviting friends. These points are then reflected in live leaderboards, with token allocations distributed proportionally at snapshot.
Unlike traditional airdrops that often fall victim to bots, or IDOs that struggle with community traction, Buzz is designed to prioritize quality engagement. “Buzzdrops and IBOs give projects a launch strategy that is both fair and viral,” said Gintare Kairyte, CEO of ChainGPT Pad. The system ensures that communities receive tangible rewards while projects benefit from an organically engaged token holder base.
The Buzz system aligns with the rise of Information Finance (InfoFi), a concept introduced by Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin in late 2024. InfoFi emphasizes the need to structure, validate, and incentivize information in the crowded Web3 ecosystem.
| Project | Focus Area | Reward Mechanism | Platform Base | Unique Approach |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kaito | Ecosystem-wide promotion | Yap Points via AI-based leaderboards | Cross-chain (X-based) | AI-powered mindshare tracking, campaign-specific rewards |
| Loudio | Token-centric shilling | SOL from trading fees | Solana | Direct token-promo rewards tied to DEX activity |
| CookieDAO | AI and infrastructure visibility | Points and potential airdrops | Multi-chain | Indexes AI agents, filters contributions for technical quality |
| Wallchain | Solana ecosystem engagement | Quacks (points) for quality posts | Solana | Ecosystem-specific leaderboard, anti-spam filtering |
| Infinex (Yaprun) | Hybrid campaign promotion | Micro Patrons + $ rewards | Cross-chain | Combines Kaito backend with collectible rewards and multi-season design |
By linking token allocations to measurable influence, InfoFi platforms aim to cut through noise and deliver actionable data. Alongside ChainGPT’s Buzz, other initiatives like Cookie DAO’s cookie.fun. It tracks more than 1,500 AI agents and manages 7TB of live data, highlight the sector’s rapid growth. Prediction markets and other information-focused tools further illustrate the importance of InfoFi in guiding decision-making and community development in decentralized environments.
The Buzz system integrates directly into ChainGPT’s AI-powered suite, which includes smart contract generators and the upcoming AIVM blockchain. With more Buzz campaigns expected, the platform aims to strengthen its role as a leading IDO launchpad.
For Web3 founders, Buzz represents a structured way to launch tokens while building communities anchored in authentic engagement. For participants, it offers a transparent method of earning allocations based on verifiable contributions. Whether Buzz establishes itself as a new standard for token launches will depend on adoption, scalability, and the continued evolution of InfoFi within the Web3 economy.
