USDe on TRON brings Ethena’s USDe and sUSDe to the network through Stargate, with JustLend and SUN.io integrations planned.
Author: Kritika Gupta
11th September 2026- Ethena brought its digital dollar USDe and the staked version sUSDe live on TRON on 11 September 2026. Users can now hold and transfer both tokens on the network. Deeper DeFi features are still weeks away.

Almost $100 billion sitting on TRON as stablecoins, and most of it is just... sitting there. Moving payments, not earning anything. The part of this update by @ethena that actually matters to me?? USDe is now bridgeable via Stargate, sure, but think about what it means once https://t.co/VEoDxDoDVF
USDe is now live on TRON. TRON one of the largest chains by stablecoin supply with nearly $100 billion in assets, used by millions of people globally. We're excited to be bringing Ethena's product lines to @trondao's thriving stablecoin ecosystem and userbase. https://t.co/H0zzcKdBRE

USDe is now the largest dollar collateral asset on @Morpho following the expansion of the Robinhood and Coinbase integrations That’s a meaningful step for @ethena because distribution is starting to translate into actual collateral demand. The Robinhood integration puts USDe https://t.co/j9YW4zJ6k0

High attention and emotional sentiment detected.
The launch runs through Stargate Finance, a bridge built on the LayerZero stack. Minting and redeeming still happen on Ethereum. In short, this is bridged access, not a new mint venue on TRON.
Ethena announced the move at 12:02 UTC on its official account. The team framed USDe and sUSDe as “product lines,” not a single token. Both went live for bridge, hold, and transfer.
TRON DAO confirmed the launch minutes later. Justin Sun, TRON’s founder, quoted both posts. According to Sun, “USDe and sUSDe are now on TRON. More options for builders across the ecosystem.”
Deeper DeFi support is not live yet. Ethena said JustLend DAO and SUN.io integrations would follow in the coming weeks. For now, holding and sending are the only functions.
USDe is a synthetic dollar. Ethena backs it with crypto collateral and short perpetual positions, plus liquid stables and real-world assets. sUSDe is the staked receipt that passes protocol yield to holders.
To reach the network, tokens move through Stargate’s OFT-style transfers. The protocol locks or burns supply on the source chain, then issues a matching amount on TRON. As a result, holders can send USDe on TRON like any other TRC-20 token.
Redemption stays on Ethereum, though. Users generally cannot mint or redeem the backing on TRON itself. In past deployments, unstaking sUSDe also required a return to Ethereum.
Key milestones in USDe and sUSDe’s multichain expansion
Ethena introduces USDe on Ethereum, while sUSDe gives holders access to the protocol’s variable yield.
USDe and sUSDe expand through LayerZero to networks including Solana, Base, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, TON, Plasma and Monad.
Ethena restores OFT transfers with stronger validator requirements and historical transfer limits of $10 million per hour.
Ethena announces that users can bridge, hold and transfer both assets on TRON through Stargate Finance.
JustLend DAO and SUN.io integrations are planned, while official contracts, liquidity depth and onchain sUSDe yield access await confirmation.
TRON is the largest settlement rail for stablecoins. Ethena cited “nearly $100 billion” in stablecoin assets on the network. Independent data runs lower, at roughly $89 billion to $94 billion in USDT.
The chain also counts more than 403 million accounts, according to TRON figures. Daily USDT transfers often run $20 billion to $30 billion. That base dwarfs USDe’s current supply many times over. So the appeal is distribution to users who already move dollars there.
Guy Young, Ethena’s founder, framed it plainly in the joint announcement. He said TRON users can now hold a dollar that accrues rewards on the network they already use.
The official wording moved fast, so a few gaps matter. Ethena’s headline tweet said “USDe,” while every partner post also named sUSDe. A follow-up added that bridging would open “later today,” not at the moment of the post.
No official TRON contract address appeared at launch. Ethena’s key-addresses page still did not list TRON at the time of writing. Readers should wait for Ethena docs or Stargate token lists before trusting any TRC-20 labeled USDe.
The joint press release also went out through Cointelegraph and GlobeNewswire as content commissioned by TRON. That makes it promotional material, not independent confirmation.
Ethena launched USDe on Ethereum in January 2024. Supply peaked near $14.83 billion on 1 October 2025. It has since retraced about 69%, down to roughly $4.5 billion today.
The TRON step is part of a wide multichain push. USDe already lives on Ethereum, Solana, Base, and several other chains. TRON now adds the largest stablecoin base of them all.
Prices barely moved on the day. ENA, Ethena’s governance token, traded near $0.147, down about 16% over seven days. It is still up roughly 59% over 30 days, according to CoinGecko.
TRX changed little, near $0.336. USDe supply sat around $4.5 billion to $4.6 billion, per DefiLlama. TRON is not yet broken out in that chain split. The sUSDe pool held about $1.33 billion at close to 4.8% APY. So there was no clear launch-driven mint wave yet.
Bridged tokens carry bridge risk. LayerZero OFT transfers for USDe paused in April 2026 after an incident, then resumed with tighter controls. That history is worth remembering.
Backing risk also applies. USDe depends on perpetual funding and custody arrangements that can strain in bad markets. Liquidity on TRON will stay thin until JustLend and SUN.io go live.
Fake TRC-20 tokens are the near-term danger. Until Ethena publishes the address, scammers can list impostor “USDe” contracts. None of this is financial advice, so verify sources before moving funds.
The next signals are practical ones. Watch for an official contract address, the first verified bridge transactions, and the promised JustLend and SUN.io integrations. Those steps will show whether USDe on TRON gains real depth.
Yield behavior is the open question. It is still unclear whether sUSDe earns rewards while it sits on TRON, or only as a bridged receipt. For now, the launch reads as a distribution play on the biggest dollar rail in crypto.
