Uniswap launches the DualPool hook, letting LPs earn swap fees and ERC-4626 vault yield on the same capital with audited code.

22nd July 2026 – Uniswap has released the DualPool hook. The audited, open-source tool lets liquidity providers earn swap fees and vault yield on the same capital.
High Signal Summary For A Quick Glance
Uniswap Labs built the DualPool hook with Spark Finance. The two teams designed it to put idle capital to work. A livestream with Uniswap founder Hayden Adams is set for 2PM ET today.
In a standard pool, LP capital sits idle most of the time. It earns fees only when a swap trades through its price range. So a lot of capital does nothing for long stretches.
DualPool changes that. Idle liquidity parks in yield-bearing ERC-4626 vaults managed by Spark. As a result, the same capital can earn vault yield and swap fees together.
That dual return is the whole pitch. LPs no longer pick between trading fees and lending yield. Instead, the hook chases both at once.
Uniswap put it plainly. “Any team can now deploy their own DualPool hook, allowing them to earn on both active and idle assets,” the company wrote on X.
The hook uses Uniswap v4’s callback system. It reacts around each swap through before-swap and after-swap logic.
Here is the flow. First, a deployer parks assets in an ERC-4626 vault. Then a swap arrives at the pool.
The hook withdraws only the exact amount that swap needs. Next, it deploys that amount as concentrated liquidity inside the v4 pool. The pool then runs a normal swap.
After the trade, the hook pulls the unused liquidity back out. Finally, it redeposits the leftover assets plus fees into the vault. All of this happens in the same block.
Between swaps, the pool holds close to zero resident liquidity. Still, swappers see a normal Uniswap experience. According to Uniswap, funds return to the vault in the same block every time.
Just-in-time liquidity is not new on Uniswap. Searchers already add liquidity right before a big swap and pull it right after. Yet those setups often use fixed ranges and idle stablecoins.
DualPool pushes the idea further. It parks the idle side in a yield vault instead of a wallet. So the capital keeps earning between swaps, not only during them.
It also adds flexibility on top. Curators set custom ranges per pool, rather than one fixed band. In short, DualPool blends JIT execution with continuous vault yield.
LPs and curators set their own price ranges per deployment. That gives more control than fixed just-in-time examples.
The hook also supports two modes. In single-LP mode, the hook blocks outside deposits. In pooled mode, many depositors share curated ranges and vaults.
Key milestones in Uniswap V4 & Spark’s DualPool Hook
V4 goes live on Ethereum mainnet and multiple chains, introducing the singleton PoolManager and hooks architecture enabling custom logic on pools for the first time.
Spark moves ~$150M in USDS-paired stablecoin liquidity (USDT and PYUSD) into standard V4 pools as Phase 1 of its Stablecoin FX Layer. DualPool hook announced as “coming soon,” co-built with Uniswap Labs.
DualPool hook completes security audits following the migration announcement, clearing the path for public release.
DualPool hook launches as audited and fully open-source with official developer docs live. Hayden Adams and @hexonaut host a livestream at 2PM ET discussing the hook, Spark’s migration, and the stablecoin FX layer.
Monitor mainnet DualPool deployments by other teams, full Spark liquidity migration into DualPool pools, and broader integrations or competing yield-bearing hook designs.
The release builds on an earlier move. On June 25, Spark shifted about $150 million of stablecoin liquidity to Uniswap v4, according to Uniswap.
That liquidity seeded standard v4 pools first. The pairs were USDS/USDT and USDS/PYUSD on Ethereum mainnet. Here USDS acts as the main quoting asset.
Spark leads the Sky ecosystem, the network behind the USDS stablecoin. Its Stablecoin FX Layer aims to make on-chain stablecoin swaps deep and cheap. This migration formed Phase 1 of that plan.
The liquidity should transition to DualPool over time. For now, it still sits in standard pools. So the dual-yield design is not yet live on that $150 million.
OpenZeppelin audited the DualPool hook between May and June 2026. The review found no critical or high-severity issues, according to the docs.
The team also resolved every medium-severity finding, the summary states. Uniswap then open-sourced the code.
So any team can now deploy its own version. The developer docs include an overview and setup guides.
New hooks add new risk. A hook is extra code between the swapper and the pool. As a result, it widens the attack surface.
DualPool also leans on ERC-4626 vaults. If a vault fails or loses value, that risk flows back to LPs. Settlement and reentrancy logic add more complexity than a plain pool.
There is a centralization angle too. Spark owns and controls the first deployment. Curated pools also hand the curator meaningful control.
The audit reported a clean result. Still, users should treat any new DeFi primitive with care. This article is not financial advice.
The livestream should add detail. Hayden Adams and Spark contributor @hexonaut plan to discuss the hook, the migration, and the FX Layer at 2PM ET.
Neither UNI nor SPK saw a sharp price move right after the release. That fits a builder-focused launch. So adoption, not price, will be the near-term signal.
Deployment specifics should land on the Uniswap docs. The deployments page will list contract addresses as pools go live.
For now, the DualPool hook gives LPs a new way to stack yield. Whether the full $150 million moves over will show how much the design earns trust.
