@CoinMarketCap Not sure “self-custodial” means much if the app nudges users into KYC rails or centralized recoveries—depends on design.

@CoinMarketCap Consolidation at highs usually leads to expansion. The longer Bitcoin stays here… the bigger the breakout.

High attention and emotional sentiment detected.
Tether, the issuer of the world’s largest stablecoin USDT, has steadily expanded beyond pure stablecoin issuance into a broader financial ecosystem. Since launching Tether Gold (XAUT) in 2020 and supporting USDT across more than 20 blockchains, the company has increasingly focused on user-controlled products that reduce reliance on third-party custodians.
Today’s launch of Tether.wallet marks its official entry into the self-custodial wallet space. The non-custodial mobile and web wallet supports native storage and management of USDT, USAT, XAUT, and Bitcoin, giving users full control of their private keys while integrating directly with its growing suite of tokenized assets.
How Tether.wallet changes custody, asset access, and strategic control across the ecosystem
Tether.wallet is available immediately on iOS, Android, and web, with a clean, beginner-friendly interface designed specifically for users who already hold large amounts of USDT or XAUT. The wallet supports direct in-app transfers, swaps, and fiat on-ramps in select regions, removing the need for users to move assets between third-party wallets.
The launch is the latest step in Tether’s multi-year strategy to become a full-stack financial provider rather than just a stablecoin issuer. By offering an official self-custodial solution, it aims to increase user retention, reduce reliance on external custodians, and create a seamless on-ramp for its growing tokenized asset suite (including future products) while maintaining full user sovereignty over private keys.
