Steady attention without excessive speculation.
RedotPay’s 7 million-plus customers can now hold SUI or native USDC-Sui in their multi-currency wallet. From there, they can convert between crypto and fiat, pay at supported merchants, or send funds globally. The RedotPay card handles the final conversion to local currency where needed.
The setup is straightforward. Users top up their RedotPay wallet with SUI or USDC-Sui, then tap the physical or virtual card at any supported merchant.
For online purchases, the virtual card works the same way. Both cards also connect to Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Behind the scenes, RedotPay taps Sui’s payments infrastructure to route transactions. Because the integration uses native USDC issued by Circle on Sui, users avoid bridged versions of the stablecoin. That means faster settlement and lower costs through Sui’s object-centric data model.
Global payouts work similarly. A user sends SUI or USDC-Sui to another wallet, and the recipient converts to local currency on arrival. No additional wallets or bridges are required. Sui transactions settle with sub-second finality, while RedotPay handles compliance, KYC, and fiat rails on its end.
Adeniyi Abiodun, co-founder and chief product officer at Mysten Labs, framed the partnership as a turning point. “We knew that the future of digital payments was to effectively imagine it as sending a text,” he said in a blog post accompanying the announcement.
“By integrating with RedotPay, we are moving past the ‘experimental’ phase of crypto payments,” Abiodun added. Users can “leverage the speed of Native USDC on Sui to buy coffee, pay for travel, or shop online at over 130 million merchants worldwide,” according to the post.
Jonathan Chan, co-founder and head of partnerships at RedotPay, shared a similar view. “By integrating Sui’s high-performance network, we’re providing more options for our global users to make instant payments with their digital holdings,” Chan said.
Key milestones in Sui, USDC-Sui, and RedotPay Integration
Sui launches as a high-performance Layer 1 with instant finality and low fees, designed for scalable finance and real-world payments.
RedotPay surpasses $10B annualized payment volume, expanding its stablecoin-based wallet and card ecosystem with global payment integrations.
RedotPay grows to 7M+ users and enables access to 130M+ merchants worldwide, focusing on seamless crypto-to-fiat spending infrastructure.
SUI and native USDC on Sui become usable through RedotPay, enabling direct payments at global merchants with instant settlement and no bridging required.
This integration shifts Sui from a chain known mainly for DeFi and gaming into everyday consumer spending. Most blockchains still struggle to move beyond speculative use cases.
Here, a mainstream fintech with millions of users and a physical card product routes real-world purchases through native Sui assets. That marks a concrete step beyond speculation.
The scale is notable. RedotPay processed more than $10 billion in annualized payment volume as of November 2025, according to the company. Its network spans 7 million customers and 130 million merchants across 100-plus countries.
There is an important caveat. The 130 million merchant figure refers to the broader card network that RedotPay connects to, not merchants that directly accept SUI. Users still rely on RedotPay’s card to convert crypto to fiat at the point of sale.
Actual adoption metrics for Sui-based spending are not yet available. Whether users choose SUI over other supported assets on RedotPay also remains an open question.
The move also validates Sui’s technical architecture. Mysten Labs, founded by former Meta engineers who worked on the Diem stablecoin project, built Sui around an object-centric model. That design enables parallel transaction processing, sub-second finality, and fees typically under $0.01.
For a payments use case, those specs translate into transactions that feel instant. Users avoid the multi-second confirmation waits common on other Layer-1 chains.

A key detail in this integration is the use of native USDC on Sui. Circle issued USDC directly on the Sui network, so users transact with the real stablecoin rather than a bridged version.
Bridged tokens carry additional smart contract risk and often settle more slowly. Native issuance removes that friction entirely.
For RedotPay users, this means the USDC in their wallet settles on Sui’s fast, low-cost infrastructure. The stablecoin maintains its 1:1 dollar peg through Circle’s reserves, while Sui’s chain provides the speed layer. That combination could make Sui one of the more practical rails for stablecoin-powered payments.
RedotPay has already activated SUI and USDC-Sui support in its app. Existing customers can start spending immediately. The company will likely expand marketing around everyday use cases like coffee runs, travel bookings, and online shopping to drive adoption.
For Sui, the partnership adds another high-visibility payments partner alongside its existing stablecoin and fintech collaborations. Broader ecosystem effects could include more merchants exploring direct SUI acceptance and additional fintechs following RedotPay’s lead.
Community reaction on X has been positive, with replies highlighting the shift from speculation to real utility. More detailed usage stats and merchant feedback should emerge in the coming weeks as the first wave of real-world transactions flows through the Sui RedotPay integration.
