@solana the sneaky part is rebalancing. the mix changes and your token just quietly becomes a different portfolio while you sleep. you are not really buying assets anymore, you are buying the curator's judgment and hoping it ages well

@solana @solana watch out for liquidity pools, they can be tricky if volumes aren't high. Keep an eye on that to avoid surprises.

@solana Read the fine print: BlackRock designed the three portfolios, but Ondo issues and runs the tokens. BlackRock has no obligation to holders, and US investors can't buy them. They did pull $40M in four weeks on Ethereum and BNB, so I'm curious how Solana does.

High attention and emotional sentiment detected.
Each portfolio is a single transferable token. It gives eligible investors economic exposure to a curated basket of tokenized stocks and ETFs, rebalanced onchain.
Ondo Finance first launched the product on September 24, 2026. It started with three portfolios built on strategies from BlackRock, then grew to seven by early October.
The Solana expansion brings the full set to a third network. According to Ondo’s announcement, the portfolios held more than $40 million in total value locked within four weeks across Ethereum and BNB.
Ondo Global Markets (BVI) Limited issues the tokens. Ondo then implements each strategy, trades the underlying assets, and handles rebalancing.
John Hoffman, Ondo’s head of portfolios, said the product puts professionally curated strategies within reach of any eligible investor with a wallet. He pointed to the $40 million figure as early proof of demand.
The lineup spans income, growth, and thematic strategies. Three carry the Powered by BlackRock label, while four follow Ondo’s own themes.
Every ticker ends in “on” to mark it as an onchain product. All seven now run on Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Solana.
Ondo’s path from tokenized Treasuries to onchain portfolios
Ondo introduces tokenized products offering exposure to U.S. Treasuries and dollar-denominated yield.
Ondo integrates BUIDL into OUSG, connecting its Treasury offering with BlackRock’s tokenized fund.
Ondo brings tokenized real-world assets to Solana, broadening access across blockchain networks.
Tokenized stocks and ETFs extend Ondo’s product range beyond Treasury-focused offerings.
Seven portfolios launch, including three using BlackRock-developed model strategies. Ondo operates the portfolios.
BlackRock supplies model portfolio strategies for three of the tokens. It built those models to Ondo’s specifications, and the role stops there.
BlackRock is not the adviser, manager, sponsor, or operator of the tokens. It does not run the onchain portfolios, handle custody, or owe anything to token holders.
The actual portfolios may also differ from the models. Lisa O’Connor, who leads BlackRock’s model portfolio solutions team, framed the deal as established strategies delivered through new channels.
Independent coverage from The Block flagged this gap early. Critics argue the branding can oversell what is a strictly limited, nondiscretionary role.
Investors mint a portfolio token by depositing stablecoins such as USDC. The platform then buys the weighted basket of underlying Ondo Stocks.
Redeeming burns the token and returns stablecoins based on current net asset value. Smart contracts rebalance the holdings back to target weights, roughly each quarter.
Holders get economic exposure only. They do not own the underlying shares, and they gain no shareholder rights.
Ondo’s documentation shows holdings, weights, and rebalances onchain. Dividends and interest are typically reinvested in a total-return style.
The portfolios are open to eligible non-U.S. investors in permitted jurisdictions. U.S. persons cannot access them, and direct minting requires KYC.
Extra limits apply in markets like the UK, Switzerland, and Singapore. Some cases in the EEA also need a prospectus.
Fees include an annual service charge that accrues daily into the token price. Investors also pay mint and redemption costs at the underlying level, plus gas.
Mint and redeem windows track U.S. market hours, roughly 9:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. ET. Secondary trading, by contrast, runs 24 hours a day.
Portfolio TVL climbed quickly, according to Ondo. It passed $20 million within about a month, then $30 million, and topped $40 million by the Solana launch.
Ondo’s broader RWA footprint is far larger. Data from RWA.xyz puts its total tokenized asset value near $4 billion, including more than $500 million on Solana.
The ONDO token moved more at the original September launch, rising roughly 16% to 22%. By October 29 it traded near $0.41 to $0.42, with little reaction tied directly to the Solana news.
Some analysts also flagged early holder concentration. Reports suggested three wallets held most of one token, BLKHIon, soon after launch.
Nick Ducoff, who leads institutional efforts at the Solana Foundation, said investors can now hold a complete portfolio in one token. He called it the next chapter of tokenization.
Ondo Intelligent Portfolios now span three networks, and the Solana launch adds round-the-clock secondary trading. Ondo appears focused on deeper liquidity and more tokenized assets across chains.
Live contract addresses and exact fee rates sit on Ondo’s docs and app. Investors should verify each portfolio there before acting.
