IOTA partners with BitGo to bring regulated U.S. institutional access to its Mainnet, marking a milestone in its 10th anniversary expansion.

The collaboration, revealed on December 5, integrates the IOTA Mainnet into BitGo’s regulated custody infrastructure, unlocking compliant access for hedge funds, fintechs, and corporates long restricted by U.S. regulatory barriers.
Founded in 2015 by David Sønstebø and team, IOTA pioneered the Tangle, a directed acyclic graph (DAG) designed to provide feeless, infinitely scalable transactions for the Internet of Things (IoT). Over time, the network has evolved into a broader foundation for real-world assets (RWA), supply chain intelligence, and decentralized finance. The BitGo alliance now positions IOTA for its most significant U.S. expansion to date.
