🚨 BREAKING: Goldman Sachs reclaimed its position as the largest disclosed XRP ETF holder, with $86.5M invested across five XRP ETFs.

The bank revealed the position in its Q2 2026 Form 13F-HR, filed with the SEC on August 14. Notably, the move comes just one quarter after Goldman exited XRP ETFs entirely. The reversal quickly caught attention across XRP-focused social media.
The filing lists holdings across five spot XRP ETFs. Together, they add up to roughly $86.5 million at quarter-end prices.
Here is how the Goldman Sachs XRP ETF position breaks down by fund, according to the aggregated 13F data.
Canary’s XRPC is a new addition this quarter. At the earlier peak, Goldman held only four XRP funds.
Goldman reported the values at June 30 market prices. The current mark would likely sit higher after the recent XRP rally.
Spot XRP ETFs are still young products. The first U.S. funds launched in a tight window during late 2025.
Canary listed its XRPC fund on Nasdaq around November 13. Bitwise followed with its XRP fund on the NYSE about a week later.
Franklin Templeton, Grayscale, and 21Shares rolled out their products in the same stretch. Each fund holds actual XRP through an institutional custodian.
Because the funds hold spot XRP, creations and redemptions can move the token directly. So ETF demand feeds into real buying and selling pressure.
Goldman first built a large XRP position at the end of 2025. Its Q4 2025 filing showed about $153.8 million across four funds.
That stake made Goldman the top disclosed holder at the time. It represented close to 73% of the roughly $211 million reported across the top 30 filers.
Then the bank reversed course. Its Q1 2026 filing, covering March 31, showed a complete exit from XRP and Solana ETFs.
The swing from $153.8 million to zero surprised some observers. It showed that even a top disclosed holder can turn over a position fast.
The Q2 re-entry sits well below the earlier peak. Still, at $86.5 million it once again tops the disclosed field, according to CoinGape.
A 13F is a backward-looking snapshot. It reports long positions as of quarter-end, so the June 30 figures may already be stale.
The form also carries clear limits. It excludes short positions, derivatives, and any manager below the $100 million reporting threshold.
Crucially, a 13F cannot separate proprietary bets from client or market-making inventory. So the Goldman Sachs XRP ETF stake does not prove a directional view.
The disclosure also lumps together very different kinds of exposure. A trading desk, an index hedge, and a client mandate all look identical on the form.
For scale, market maker Jane Street reported a Bitwise XRP position of around $14 million. Large banks often hold ETF shares to service clients, not to signal conviction.
Prior coverage shows how fast the picture can shift. The full exit just months later undercut Goldman’s bullish-looking Q4 stake.
The disclosure landed during a sharp XRP rally. The token traded near $1.00 to $1.11 in mid-August. It then jumped toward $1.27 to $1.36 on August 20 and 21.
Some sessions showed gains of 7% to 22% on August 21. Weekly gains reached about 40% in a few reports.
ETF demand rose alongside the price. According to SoSoValue data, XRP funds saw single-day net inflows near $13.2 million around August 20 and 21.
Total XRP ETF assets stood near $1.17 billion. Cumulative net inflows have since topped $1.53 billion.
The filing itself likely did not drive the rally. Because the data lags, the move tracks broader institutional flows more than any single disclosure.
The filing lags by design, so it reveals little about Goldman’s position today. The stake could have grown or shrunk since June 30.
Analysts at Bloomberg Intelligence have tracked the XRP ETF field closely since launch. Their data framed Goldman as the standout disclosed holder during the Q4 peak.
Ripple’s broader ecosystem has drawn steady institutional interest through 2026. Each new filing now gets parsed for signs of Wall Street’s stance.
For now, the disclosure adds to a steady stream of institutional XRP headlines. Whether it reflects conviction or routine client flow remains unclear.
Traders will watch the next 13F in November for confirmation. Until then, the $86.5 million figure marks a notable round trip. It also puts one of Wall Street’s biggest names back atop the disclosed XRP field.
