@chainlink @Lighter_xyz @JupiterExchange @predictdotfun Covering $40T+ across China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong is a big step for on-chain equities. For markets trading outside local hours, how do streams handle pricing when the underlying market is closed, and what latency should builders expect?

Steady attention without excessive speculation.
The move widens an oracle product that launched with just two exchanges in June. Now it spans Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, markets worth a combined $40T+ by capitalization.
Chainlink announced the expansion on 3 November 2026. The company confirmed the broader rollout through its official channels and documentation.
Six exchanges now show as “Available” in the docs:
Each feed delivers mid-prices, bid and ask quotes, and a market-status flag. Prices stay in local currency throughout.
Crucially, the feeds run only during each exchange’s standard trading hours. That includes lunch breaks and auctions, so the data reflects real session timing rather than a round-the-clock proxy.
The announcement highlighted several marquee names. TSMC, Tencent, Samsung, SK Hynix and BYD all feature, alongside other tech, semiconductor and consumer stocks.
Chainlink did not publish a full catalog of single-name feeds. So the exact roster beyond these highlighted stocks remains unconfirmed for now.
Still, the selection signals intent. These rank among Asia’s most traded companies. Pricing them on-chain lets builders reference real equities without tokenizing the shares first.
Chainlink APAC Equities Streams: market coverage
Source: World Federation of Exchanges. Values reflect August 2026 domestic market capitalization in USD. Totals use unrounded figures.
*BYD has Shenzhen and Hong Kong listings. Confirm the specific Chainlink feed before assigning it exclusively to either exchange.
Market capitalization describes the underlying exchanges, not tokenized assets, trading volume or the value of stocks with active Chainlink feeds. This snapshot provides context for the $40T+ headline rather than an exact reconciliation of Chainlink’s calculation.
Chainlink framed the expansion around “$40T+ of equity markets.” That number refers to the combined market capitalization of the five jurisdictions covered.
To be clear, it does not measure tokenized shares or on-chain trading volume. Instead, it describes the total size of the real-world markets these feeds now reference.
For context, Chainlink launched 24/5 US Equities Streams in January 2026. That product referenced roughly $80T in US market cap, including extended and overnight hours.
Chainlink Data Streams are pull-based rather than push-based. So a protocol requests a signed price report on demand, then verifies it on-chain only when needed.
Behind each feed, a decentralized oracle network aggregates high-frequency data from licensed institutional providers. The network then signs a report using the RWA Advanced v11 schema, the same schema used for US equities.
That report carries the mid-price, bid, ask, a market-status flag and timestamps. When an exchange is open, the status reads 2. When it closes, pauses for lunch or runs an auction, the status reads 5.
As a result, integrators must check freshness and market status themselves. They also have to handle corporate actions and session-open volatility on their own side.
According to Chainlink, three venues went live with the feeds at launch. They are Lighter, a perpetuals venue, Jupiter, a perps platform on Solana, and Predict.fun, a prediction market.
Jupiter confirmed the integration directly. “Proud to be among the first perps venues live with @chainlink’s APAC Equities Streams,” the exchange posted on 3 November 2026.
More platforms are onboarding, according to the announcement. The named pipeline includes PhoenixTrade, DecibelTrade, HelloTrade, Perpl, ACX, Monaco, Omen and Paragon on Hyperliquid.
Chainlink described the use cases plainly. “Builders can launch equity perps, spot markets, prediction markets, and structured products, all priced on fast, secure data, including outside local trading hours,” the company said.
The feeds come with real limits, and Chainlink’s own docs flag them. Each APAC feed currently relies on a single institutional data source, so there is no cross-provider redundancy per feed.
Access is another open question. The public docs viewer still shows “No Mainnet feeds available” for APAC equities. That suggests access runs through authenticated discovery or partner integrations.
Adoption data is also thin so far. The news broke the same day. So no equity-specific volume or open-interest figures are available yet across the three venues.
Markets reflected that caution. LINK traded between roughly $11.10 and $11.30 on 3 November 2026. The token stayed flat to slightly lower, with no clear spike tied to the news.
The expansion deepens Chainlink’s push into real-world asset pricing. It now covers US and APAC equities, tokenized funds through SmartData, and cross-chain delivery through CCIP.
For builders, the immediate prize is Asian-hours equity derivatives that no longer depend on US-market proxies. Prediction markets on names like TSMC or Tencent become far easier to price.
Watch for two signals next. First, whether more venues ship live equity products. Second, whether on-chain volume starts to validate the $40T+ headline with real usage.
