June 3, 2025 – The Algorand blockchain has reported a series of ecosystem milestones spanning payments, tokenized assets, and real-world adoption, suggesting a growing footprint across multiple sectors of Web3 infrastructure.
Pera Wallet, in collaboration with payments infrastructure provider Immersve and Mastercard, launched a crypto payment card live in five countries. The product allows Algorand users to spend their assets directly at Mastercard-enabled merchants, bridging Web3 assets with real-world utility.
Italian water utility firm, serving roughly 4 percent of the national population, has adopted the Waterfall Token ($WTR). This marks a rare instance of real-world utility infrastructure integrating a blockchain-native asset, signaling potential for further real-world asset (RWA) expansion on Algorand.
Midas RWA’s tokenized treasury bill, mTBILL, officially launched on Algorand. The protocol brings exposure to short-term U.S. treasury instruments into the blockchain space.
At the same time, Algorand reached an all-time high in total ALGO staked, reinforcing the network’s security and user engagement in its consensus mechanism.
Real estate platform Lofty.ai reported reaching profitability and disbursed over $4 million to investors, highlighting ongoing traction in tokenized property ownership.
Algorand also became the only blockchain represented at the Bolt.New hackathon — the world’s largest such event — showing increasing interest from the developer community.
In analytics, Algorand partnered with Artemis to launch a custom dashboard that tracks on-chain metrics and user activity.
Meanwhile, Algorand-native USDC launched on Crypto.com, accompanied by a two-week incentive campaign to boost deposit activity. This expands stablecoin accessibility for retail users.
Through its regional initiative AlgoBharat, Algorand onboarded two new projects with millions of users, marking continued momentum in South Asia’s rapidly growing Web3 market.
