Sam-Thapaliya

Sam Thapaliya is the founder and CEO of Zebec Network, a blockchain-based protocol focused on real-time, continuous payment streaming—especially for payroll. Originally from Nepal, Sam has a background in AI and video analytics and holds four U.S. patents. He launched Zebec in 2021 to solve inefficiencies in financial disbursement, enabling per-second salary payments via the blockchain.

Under his leadership, Zebec has raised over $28M from major investors like Circle, Solana Ventures, and Coinbase. The platform introduced products like Zebec Pay and Zebec Safe, and it later expanded by launching its own Layer 3 EVM chain called Nautilus. While Zebec has gained enterprise traction and joined Visa’s Fintech Fast Track, it has also faced criticism over governance practices and unmet community promises. Despite this, Sam continues to promote Zebec as a real-world Web3 solution for modern finance.
