Jeff Yan is the founder and CEO of Hyperliquid, a high-performance decentralized perpetual exchange. A Harvard graduate in Math and Computer Science, he previously worked at Hudson River Trading and Google. He co-founded Chameleon Trading before launching Hyperliquid in 2022 without VC funding. Known for building a custom Layer 1 blockchain, Jeff prioritizes speed, transparency, and user-first principles. In 2024, he introduced the HYPE token via airdrop. Under his leadership, Hyperliquid has grown into a major DEX rivaling centralized exchanges, while also drawing regulatory attention.
