Emin Gün Sirer is the founder and CEO of Ava Labs, the team behind the Avalanche (AVAX) token. A computer scientist and former professor at Cornell University, he has been a leading voice in blockchain research and innovation.
Before Avalanche, he developed Karma, an early digital currency predating Bitcoin, and contributed to advancing consensus protocols. With Ava Labs, founded in 2018, Sirer set out to create a highly scalable and decentralized platform that enables fast, low-cost transactions and supports DeFi, NFTs, and enterprise adoption.
