Eli-Ben-Sasson

Eli Ben-Sasson is a renowned cryptographer and the co-founder of StarkWare, the company behind Starknet, a Layer-2 scaling solution for Ethereum. With a PhD in theoretical computer science, he previously contributed to the Zerocash protocol (which became Zcash) and is one of the inventors of STARK proofs—advanced cryptographic tools enabling scalable, transparent blockchain operations.

At StarkWare, he led the development of Starknet and StarkEx, platforms that use zero-knowledge proofs for faster and cheaper transactions. The STRK token, central to Starknet, supports transaction fees, staking, and governance. Ben-Sasson is now StarkWare’s CEO and continues to drive innovation in blockchain scalability and privacy.
