Chris Larsen is the co-founder of Ripple Labs, the company behind XRP, a digital asset designed for fast and low-cost cross-border payments. A veteran fintech entrepreneur, he previously founded E-Loan and Prosper Marketplace. Larsen launched Ripple in 2012 to improve upon Bitcoin’s limitations, emphasizing energy efficiency and scalability. He served as Ripple’s CEO until 2016 and now acts as executive chairman. He is also known for his philanthropy and advocacy for consumer financial privacy.
