Avery Ching is the CEO and co-founder of Aptos Labs, a blockchain platform focused on delivering reliable and scalable decentralized solutions. With over a decade of experience in distributed systems, Avery has played a pivotal role in advancing technologies that impact billions of users globally.

Before founding Aptos Labs, Avery led the crypto platform team at Meta, where he oversaw blockchain initiatives including wallet infrastructure and Layer 1 blockchain development, most notably the Diem blockchain project. Prior to his work in blockchain, Avery served as the tech lead for Meta’s batch processing systems, including Spark, Graph processing (Apache Giraph), and Facebook Hive/Hadoop (Corona). These systems powered analytics for Meta’s products, operated on hundreds of thousands of machines, and supported billions of user interactions, reflecting his deep expertise in scaling complex distributed technologies.
