Alex Gluchowski is the co-founder and CEO of Matter Labs, the company behind zkSync, a leading Ethereum Layer-2 scaling solution using zero-knowledge rollups. With a background in computer science and entrepreneurship, Alex founded Matter Labs in 2018 to solve Ethereum’s scalability issues while maintaining decentralization and security.
He played a central role in launching the ZK token in 2024, designed initially for governance. A strong advocate of Ethereum’s long-term vision, Alex believes zkSync can help bring about a scalable and censorship-resistant “Internet of Value.” His leadership has positioned zkSync at the forefront of Layer-2 innovation.
