Jackson Palmer is the co-creator of Dogecoin, a cryptocurrency launched in 2013 as a lighthearted alternative to Bitcoin. He created Dogecoin alongside Billy Markus, initially as a parody of the growing crypto hype, combining blockchain technology with the popular “Doge” meme to make digital currency more approachable and fun.

Palmer has a background in product management and marketing, which influenced Dogecoin’s community-driven and accessible design. Although he stepped away from the project in 2015, his creation went on to become one of the most widely recognized cryptocurrencies, driven by strong online communities and viral internet culture rather than traditional technical or financial positioning.
