BitMine Ethereum holdings rise to $8.4 billion after a $65.3 million ETH acquisition, making it the world’s largest corporate ETH holder.

BitMine Immersion Technologies (NYSE AMERICAN: BMNR) has announced a $65.3 million acquisition of 14,665 ETH, disclosed on September 4, 2025, at 1:42 PM IST. This purchase brings total BitMine Ethereum holdings to 1,881,639 ETH, valued at $8.4 billion at current prices of $4,450 per ETH.
The acquisition strengthens BitMine’s position as the largest corporate ETH holder, surpassing MicroStrategy’s recent Ethereum accumulation. It reflects the company’s long-term commitment to crypto investment, supported by proceeds from capital-raising transactions and mining operations.
BitMine launched its ETH Treasury initiative on June 30, 2025, and scaled rapidly. By early August, the company had $2.9 billion in ETH holdings, as noted in earlier disclosures. The latest acquisition represents a 230% increase in BitMine Ethereum holdings since mid-2024.
This strategy mirrors the institutional wave sparked by MicroStrategy’s Bitcoin purchases in 2020, with firms now embracing Ethereum for treasury diversification. With this move, BitMine ranks third globally in crypto treasury size, behind only and Mara Blockchain.
Analysts suggest the latest purchase could influence Ethereum’s market by tightening supply and pushing prices higher. Institutional inflows, such as June’s $890 million into ETH ETFs, add further bullish momentum. Still, volatility may emerge as investors weigh BitMine’s reliance on capital raises.
Looking ahead, BitMine’s growing ETH reserves may reshape corporate finance by 2030. Ethereum could emerge as a standard treasury asset, pushing its market cap beyond $500 billion and strengthening its role in decentralized finance and smart contract adoption.
