The change is set to be put into actions in multiple schools across Buenos Aires city. This initiative is organized by the ETH Kipu Foundation in collaboration with Ministry of Education of the City of Buenos Aires and supported by the Ethereum Foundation.
Starting August 27, these schools will provide professional internships in blockchain projects, marking a significant step in integrating this rapidly growing sector into education. This initiative aims to prepare students for careers in one of the most dynamic industries worldwide.
- Buenos Aires high schools to begin blockchain internships on August 27.
- An online Solidity course will train 500 students to develop decentralized applications.
- A hybrid training program will prepare 30 educators to teach blockchain-related subjects.
On August 7, 2024, the Ethereum Argentina for Youth event at the Metropolitan Design Center in Buenos Aires marked a milestone in this educational effort. Organized by the ETH Kipu Foundation and supported by the Ethereum Foundation, the event gathered 200 high school students for workshops and talks about Ethereum and its vast potential. This event served as the official launch of the broader initiative to incorporate blockchain education into the high school curriculum.
“By integrating Ethereum education into high schools, we’re not just teaching students about technology—we’re giving them the tools to shape the future,” said Paula D., co-founder of ETH Kipu. “This initiative will open up new career opportunities for young people and place Argentina at the forefront of the global blockchain movement.”
